What a great place. They really do a great job with their whole operation. I recently adopted a dog. They were thorough in questioning me to make sure I wasn't a bad person that they would be sending a dog home with me. They also made sure my current dog was a good fit with my new perspective dog. You should adopt from the shelter and rescue these wonderful animals.

Big shoutout to “Uncle” Mike! I could not describe a more purrrfect adoption experience! ❤️ As soon as my family walked in, we were greeted with open arms and smiling faces. He was more than happy to help us find our little additions to the family. You can tell the dedication and care he puts into helping find these littles their furever homes. He is the epitome of going above and beyond. Walter, another officer, was also a huge help in visitation while we were waiting to take the smallest of the bunch home. 🥰 I’ve been raving to anyone who will listen about this place and Mike in particular. I’ve even applied to become a volunteer. 😍🙌 If you’re looking for a rescue or want to help out a shelter, this is definitely a great place!

EXTREMELY RUDE! I never leave reviews for places but this was horrible. We called because we found 2 day old kittens and needed help figuring out where we could bring them. The man on the phone was very rude and unhelpful, When we tried providing information we were met with hostility and rudeness. I would never recommend this place.

This shelter does not uthenize animals unless they are gravely ill. We really enjoy volunteering here!

Called to get help on finding a kitten a home and was told to either “put him down or turn him loose at a random barn in the country, theirs no other option” he even said they do that all the time at a barn in terrell and “some of them survive and some don’t” . I’m not sure what’s going on but this reply was heartbreaking and unacceptable. I was told that the kitten was going to end up dead either way. Luckily I found a foster home for him but this is just unbelievable. Is this illegal? Should the police be involved

I recently had to surrender my dog because I was unable to financially support/give my dog the proper care while my daughter was in the hospital. I received a call from Mike today asking questions about the dog. He gave me the impression thst they needed more infor so they could adopt her out. He then finished the conversation by saying they had to put her down today. He then said there's some closure for you in a very rude tone. No compassion at all and the dog was only there for less than a week. I can't believe they would call and tell me that. I am still in shock on why I was even called.

This animal shelter is nice and the workers really care about the animals well-being. I adopted a cat from them about 2 years ago and he's such a good boi. I'm thinking of getting him a friend from this shelter.

Great visit today w/ the coordinator Sherry (I hope I spelled her named correctly). I was shown parts of the facility where the animals are held. She let me know about the volunteer opportunities available & upcoming fundraising they are doing in the community. It was a great first visit. The animals looked well looked after.
