I went to their food bank today. Every worker/volunteer was rude and degrading to the people utilizing the service. They constantly berated everyone to move faster without giving any time to choose which item you wanted on each shelf. They would give about 0.5 seconds before berating you to move on.
I went with a family member who is visually and physically disabled and she was unable to even determine what she was picking up before being yelled at to move faster.
Every person there seems to despise everyone there to get food. From the looks of disgust on their faces to the vitriol dripping from every word they said.

The raw meat was thawed and room temperature.

I don't understand why they are working or volunteering to provide those services when they seem to absolutely hate it and the people that utilize it. It was extremely degrading and demoralizing.

There are some great people there and some very toxic people there. They help the community a lot. I have to say the program they offer is not for the weak.... Some will disrespect you and treat you badly and the pastor isn't able to correct it.

I want to say thank you with all my heart to City Church for opening their parking lot. It's so depressing when you are homeless but City Church has taken an immensely huge weight off my shoulders not having to be stressed to death about where to safely sleep each night. They have rules which are great, and they take safety seriously. This place gives me tangible comfort, and it's free so I thank God for that every night in my prayers. I've met a few pretty cool people here too! The only complaint I have is the creeper people who while "walking their dog" or "going to the restroom" are always looking into my car or walking way too close to my car. I just find it unnecessary and perverse- if my car is my home you looking in it is akin to a peeping tom. Other than that, thank you, i love you guys, and whenever I get my own secure and permanent place to live I promise I will come help sometime.

I don't attend church, ever. But I am homeless and the people that work at this church do the absolute most to help the homeless in our community. They provide showers, clothes, and food every Sunday for free. They drive to and hand out pizza at various homeless encampments throughout the town almost every night. They allow homeless people with cars to park in their parking lot overnight which is not only safer than some random street but also prevents police interaction for "suspicious activity". They have live in programs at the church with the requirement of sobriety from drugs to get people off the streets and back into normal life gradually. The people working at this church are not judgemental. They don't shove religion or beliefs down your throat. They don't make you praise their God before they help you. They legitimately just want to help people and as many people as possible in as many ways as possible. This place and the people within it are truly amazing and honestly have helped restore some of my faith in humanity.

Having been a previous resident at city church, I feel very fortunate to have experienced such grace and generosity. Pastor Scott and his team have doubled down on their mission to serve the City. We talk about the “problem” of homelessness all the time, but rarely do you see someone step out and say “let me help”, “let’s try this”, I haven’t been back in several years and I went today only to find their services have expanded. I am truly impressed. Let’s stop talking about the “problem” and actually help the solution. If you’re reading this review. I urge you to give and help in anyway you can. It would be great to see other organizations follow their lead. Pastor Scott always has a very good message as well.

This Church is filled with loving people that really know the love of the Lord.
Not only is their church service phenomenal, but they have a wonderful program to help people get out of their addictions, as well as have a ministry to help people by giving food away to people in need.
God is truly working through them.
Amen, thank you Jesus.
