It was my first time to this church, and it was for a funeral. It is well kept, and the minister is well spoken. What impressed me the most was the close, tight-knit community the church belongs too. It was incredible to see the love and outpouring of care and friendship this community provided to this family. To me, that says a lot about how the church serves the community. I think it would be well worth attending this church regardless of your denomination.

We attended morning services. I have been a Christian, member of the church, for 47 years and I have never in my life been to a more unpersonable place. We stood in the foyer for 10 minutes before service started and out of 10 or so people standing/ sitting in the foyer not one spoke to us. It was obvious we were out of place. We sat on the back pew where it says reserved for guests. No one around us where we sat even acknowledged us much less spoke to us until a sweet, friendly, couple introduced themselves. Come to find out it was the preacher and his wife. Up until this point we felt like we had signs on our forehead labeled leper! Finally, several others, maybe 6 or so introduced themselves. I'm not saying this to be rude or hurtful but only to let you know if you were a stranger off the street that doesn't know the Lord and was looking for someone to teach them the Bible would you bother to stay? The Lord's Supper was a little confusing, as we picked up the communion packet that was on the table. We didn't know we didn't need it because you pass around communion. The song service was uplifting. The preacher was very encouraging and used many Bible references.

What a Blessing I have had since I started attending Dover Church of Christ. It is the most caring group of brother's and sisters in Christ I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and knowing. They have shown me how without a doubt that they love me and really care about me and will do anything they can to help me when I needed help after my surgeries this year and last. I am so glad I started attending Dover Church of Christ and got baptised and became a member of this Godly Church.
