I was placed here as a child but there is no proof because they delete records after two years.
This should be illegal. I am curious what would happen if I was abused, these people would just delete my record like it didn’t happen.
Being torn away from my family as child and as an adult trying to make sense of everything that happened to me, these people just get to easer a major life child trauma. This seems like a scam that only private companies get to do.
You can delete my records but I know that I was here!

I hope this place has improved since the 90s. It was tough back then, depending on which house parents you were with. The first pair I knew were borderline abusive and just mean spirited people. No one over 60 should be house parents. It takes energy and skill to do it well. Those kids didn't ask to be there. Other house parents just treated you like a job. Pass your classes with at least a C average and stay out of trouble and they would pretty much leave you alone. Problem is kids can't raise themselves. If they could they wouldn't be kids. Believe me, I could tell you some stories. Plenty of cigarette and pot smoking back in the day, also sneaking out and sleeping together at the barn or one of the vacant cottages, etc. My advice to kids there now is to just accept that your childhood is over. Keep your head down and mouth shut, stay out of trouble, pass your classes as best you can. When you age out you'll be able to move on and start building a better life for yourself.

We love that they have the ability to donate to their ministry. If you haven't read up about what they do and the values behind the ministry, I highly recommend; they're truly wonderful hearted people serving youth in need. Donations to their food pantry can include non-perishable and perishable items (such as milk, eggs, bread, and other every day essentials). We look forward to donating more regularly and having our children involved. Great community ministry!

They have a comprehensive children's basketball program. The coaches, refs and staff are not just the best but are truly gifted. If you want to see God's love in action and some highly entertaining kids basketball then you need to come witness this group. You'll be cheering for everyone. You just can't help it!

If you’re looking for an opportunity to donate money or your time, you will not find a better, caring, giving organization than Christ’s Haven. They have been helping kids for almost 70 years and it continues to grow and gain further outreaches.

My Family has been involved with them since the beginning when my Grandfather worked closely with the Founders. Over the years, many of our Family Members have and do contribute in multiple ways, as we believe highly in what this organization does.

Reach down deep into your heart when considering any type of contribution you are looking to make, and I urge you to consider Christ’s Haven……you will not be disappointed in your decision.

Go out and meet the staff and/or take a tour of the Facility. It’s a wonder what they are doing for these fantastic kids!!
