Hi, it's Chris Hansen. Dane & I were married there August 23,1988. We were from Moline, Illinois walked in with the intent of getting married. The minister was fabulous actually went to college in our area and had attended my home chur h. After our conversation he agreed to marry on Wednesday August 23rd 1988. This year we will be celebrating our 36th anniversary. I understand he retired but would want him to know how special he and that wedding was to us. We will forever be grateful.

We had just moved to town and were checking out new churches. We went to Christ the King Lutheran as it shared the name of our church in our hometown. The first service we attended was wonderful, and when we returned for a second time, it was the rudest bunch of church people I’ve ever met. They had decided they didn’t like is and pull chairs out from under us when we went to sit.
