If you are homeless and in need of shelter AND help finding housing, there are some VERY special people at a local temporary shelter, (up to 6 months), who can help!!
The staff here are really pretty special. They are well trained and on duty 24/7. Good meals are provided AND you are warm, safe and comfortable at night.Workers are ALSO available to help assist you in finding housing. WOW!
Honestly, these folks are almost too good to be true! In all seriousness though, if you are dedicated to putting your efforts into finding low income housing, these people are committed to helping you. What a blessing!! Tim R

Poor staff treat people like it was a prison. There was one staff member named Thomas O'Malley who treated everybody with respect dignity and fairness. Which he still still work there

Restrooms or a shower be there at seven AM or seven PM to use laboratory or shower. Just go by their process and you can use what they offer.

While some might shy away from a shelter in Chinatown, being inside the Navigation Center is worlds away from being homeless outside, in Chinatown or anywhere else. For anyone who is trying to change their circumstances by getting a job, other benefits, or permanent housing, The Navigation Center is the perfect first step. They don't care how you got there, only that you work to get to the next step on your way to a better life. Regina the Program Director, has an open door policy, and guests can always go to her with concerns or questions. Gloria, my Housing Navigator, went above and beyond to help with whatever I needed. All of the staff are people who truly care and work tirelessly to help people who stay there to get that step up they need. They provide you with basics like a bed to sleep in, a place to keep your belongings, food to eat, and showers. The program has many other benefits as well, but the real benefits are the people. The wonderful staff and the other guests, who are also trying to step up. They're a great source of information as well. If you truly want to get somewhere better than where you are, the Navigation Center is there for you. You only need to knock on the door.
