Hang tight, because this review is years in the making.
My family and I found child community services the end of 2023. From the front desk, to my child’s therapist, we were thrilled. So much so, that we involved many family members in their programs and groups, and suggested it to everyone we knew!

Fairly quickly, it became apparent that the work place here is clearly hostile. They cannot keep employees, both the front desk and the therapists alike.

As an example, in 2 years, one of my children has had more than 3 therapists. Not only this, but their practices in which they tell you your therapist has “moved on” is much to be desired. This has been tough with some of the developmental struggles my children already deal with, to have zero consistency.

The final straw however, would be when the owner of this company, Christine, was abrasive and rude to my autistic child, for no reason other than she found her annoying. It has become clear, that Christine is the common denominator. Her people skills are SEVERELY lacking, and I sincerely hope she doesn’t see any clientele herself.

She is correct in recognizing the communities needs, and hired some truly amazing therapists who made a difference in our lives in the short time we got with them.
The turnover rate here may actually be worse than a McDonald’s, and for something as important as mental health, stability and consistency is paramount, and something child and adult community services currently CANNOT provide

I cannot recommend Mia at CCS enough!!! She has been our family/individual therapist for almost 2 years. She took on a family in complete disarray. My ex-wife and I were going through a contentious divorce that included multiple attempts at co-parenting therapy with other agencies that had zero positive impact and only made things worse. In addition, our youngest daughter (teenager) was already going through an incredibly difficult time socially and emotionally which was exacerbated by the divorce. Honestly, I had very little hope that things were going to improve and felt like we were running out of options.

When Mia was assigned to our family and prior to meeting her in person, I struggled to see how one therapist was going to be able to come into our separate homes and work individually with 2 adults and 3 children (ages 9, 14, and 21) while also providing group family therapy in separate homes! At the time, we all had separate individual therapists with some progress individually but no growth as a split-family working together in the best interests of the whole.

I am still in awe at what Mia has been able to accomplish. Her ability to remain neutral and non-judgemental while guiding us through difficult situations and conversations, is a testament to her professionalism and talent as a family therapist. Mia uses a blend of empathy and practical tools to make each one of us feel heard and prepared to communicate more effectively and resolve conflicts in a healthier way. At this point in time, our children are thriving and I believe they have the tools to navigate any future challenges whether they be related to family or some other area of life.

There have been plenty of bumps in the road with some of those bumps feeling more like mountains but Mia has been there every step of the way, supporting and guiding us through every challenge. All three of our children use the word “love” when describing their relationship with Mia which brings me so much comfort!

Thank you to CCS for sharing Mia with us! Our family is incredibly grateful for her and her continued work with us!

We have had the pleasure of working with Michelle for our life skills coaching, and her impact has been invaluable. Since she started, my daughters have become much more engaged in family activities, particularly through organized games that she facilitates. Michelle’s assistance with reading has led to significant improvements in my daughters' skills, which we are incredibly grateful for.Michelle has also introduced structure through chore charts and schedules, and has helped the girls organize their room, which I, as a mother, definitely appreciate. When we have been unable to meet in person, she has accommodated us through video chats and phone conversations for therapy. She has even offered to meet us at the park to get the girls engaged on their own playing field, which they absolutely love about her.Her flexibility and kindness have been remarkable. Michelle is always willing to adjust to our often hectic schedule, making her a reliable and adaptable part of our routine. Her dedication and support have made a tremendous difference in our family’s dynamic, and we are truly thankful for her contributions.Thank you to the people who hired this wonderful woman. She has been dedicated and hard-working and definitely deserves the praise.

The intake service was ok by the therapist. The communication between the client and company is poorly managed.
I have multiple times to close my account yet every week I get a call for assignment for a new case manager. I have called multiple times to resolve this yet no action taken by the agency
Little confusion with the billing due to my insurance denied more services. James, biller was courteous and resolved the issue.
I don't appreciate the company reaching out for me to revise my review

I have been a client of ACS for quite some time now. Despite turnover and a seeming overwhelming demand for services, the staff at ACS/CCS has been diligent in treating "the whole client".

Bree does a great job of using her listening & empathy skills in connection with her own situational background to provide more than just a sympathetic ear, but also individual client context and tailored coping skills.

The fact that ACS/CCS can & will
Meet client and family away from the office (at home or in the community) is a great service both logistically as well as allowing The Client to share & grow in a non-threatening environment.

Everyone from the amazing Front Desk team to the caring, open-minded Management - and the patient & knowledgeable Caregivers strive daily to meet the needs & challenges of each individual client.

Highly Recommended.

I utilize the Adult Community Services side - and I couldn't be more grateful to have Kayla as my caseworker! From benefits to medical to groceries she helps me with a lot of aspects that make my daily life easier and, frankly, just possible. I don't know what I would do without her! 💜💜
