Its a great library and all filled with lots of different books but not lots of computers. I'm a 10th grader at Lavaca and live in Charleston and have been for 4 years now. I came in last week or the week before to work on a project that was due the next day but I wasn't going to be able to work on it that day because we had an away game and I wouldn't be back until 11pm because it was an hour and half away (I'm in band.). So I wanted to come to where I know local and work on my project instead of going all the way down to Fort Smith but when I get there I obviously ask if there were any computers open because the last couple of times I've been there's been like 4-5 boys playing video games and 1 computer left open which is fine. I was able to get my work done then but when I went that day they said that there were none and said that I could go on that one and just as she said it someone else got on. So all the computers were filled with kids playing video games like they can't do that at home? And then the older lady had the audacity to tell me "3pm is a bad time to come". When am I supposed to come? I have school from 7:55-3:15 and it takes me 15 minutes to get home and then you guys close at 5. So when am I supposed to come? Then the other lady said that she couldn't kick them off. Well you shouldn't let all of the computers be taken for video games. Video games aren't important. Apparently they don't have school work to do. Well sweetheart I do. My grades and things matter more than there's because they are like elementary/middle school and I'm in highschool about to graduate in 2 years and face the real world while they have years. Furthermore I thought a library was supposed to be quiet and a place where you can read books and get school or whatever work done? Not video games I waited for like 10 minutes for a computer to be available and there were no where to sit every chair was taken and when I finally did get a computer it never worked. So from now on I'm going to Fort Smith because you don't want to do anything about the idiot kids that their parents think the library is a babysitter.
