A CIL housing case manager forgot about a very important appointment in a time of need. She had given me the impression that hotel vouchers were a thing, and that she'd try for one after our meeting - but when I talked to her again, she denied she ever met me and said hotel vouchers aren't given out by them. I had put a lot of hope on a hotel voucher, and to leave with this conclusion is heart breaking. CIL shouldn't employ someone who has a severe memory impairment that directly messes with a homeless person's life.

CIL is a very Caring Facility. To me it’s is one of the most productive and helpful Center to US!!! My Travel Trainer, Leslie trained me on connecting smoothly from bus to Bart. Leslie was understanding & very patient and unstops my Mobility issues. Also the Computer Lab at CIL IS MOST accommodating with Computer monitor on an arm and a keyboard tray, you can move them to fit YOUR view point. I moved to the Valley now and I soooo miss living in Berkeley near CIL

The people that work at the CIL, really do care about people with disabilities. I know old timers and people who were their in the beginning think that the CIL has gone astray from the mission, but we live in a different time than the 1970's and that calls for a different approach. These are all good people here.

I am a disabled person with mobility issues. I called the CIL in Berkeley to get clarification on a issue of denial of accommodation and access by the City of Oakland. I was appalled by the totally indifferent attitude toward disabled issues by the receptionist. She never let me speak to anyone for information and advice. She seemed to be searching for any reason to put me off and dismiss my concerns. I am profoundly disappointed with such indifference towards disabled, equal access.

😳We are still working on relocation housing issues and etc. for: single private adult housing/unit rental that fits my fixed income without compromising: independence, safety, health and welfare. 🤧

💈Foremost not chonic constant hevic, resident drama, Covid19 procedures/rules that comes with large units amount, so on, its no cake.
Every one wants their/our undivided attention to there needs priority.🚦

🪠During Pandermic housing and other neccessities like copayments, food, drugs, cloths, transportation-gas, behavior himp and housing has sky rocketed.🧻

⏰I find working with a rep and agents as go between for sources can lead to some positive resolution. Hopefully so i can relax and enjoy the Spring/ Summer which has been long overdue.🏖
