The Canton Community Foundation has been a wonderful partner in our mission at 88.1 the Park. We were originally looking for a way for our non-profit donors to give to the station, and CCF provided that vehicle. But they have become so much more by causing us to think deeper about how people can support the station. We also appreciate the great things that the foundation does to serve the community through the Veteran’s Summit and Giving Hope Women’s Giving Circle. Because of our connection to the Canton Community Foundation we’re able to partner with them in their important work.

Even after years of a relationship with the Foundation you find new ways to help others. Being President of the Eastern Michigan Camaro Club, I needed to find a way to envolve the membership in our fundraising activities. Even though we donate yearly over $10,000 to our chosen charities, we felt the need to do even more. The Canton Community Foundation facilitated our fund to serve the communities we live in. With the help of our sponsor, Lou LaRiche Chevrolet and the great family members there, the fund is now fully endowed and ready to go. Having them handle all of the paperwork and take care of the members donations went seamless and completely hassle free. Now we are poised to do even more philanthropy than ever. We feel confident that our relationship with the Foundation will only help promote our goals and assist our many other sponsors donate as well.

They are involved in many important things around Plymouth and Canton that I care about, like the Canton Dog Park, student scholarships, helping seniors, and the high school radio station at PCEP. Supporting CCF is an excellent way to help our community.

I was granted a scholarship from the Canton Community Foundation this past year which was very beneficial in paying for college. When one thinks of the types of students that earn scholarships, they think of college students about to start their freshman year; that student was me in this case. However, those were not the only types of students of which the CCF granted scholarships, they gave scholarships to students of all post-high school levels and students that came from many different backgrounds. The goal of the CCF was not only to make sure that the most deserving candidates were awarded the scholarships, but they truly wanted to help students.
