At first it sounds like they will help you out as much as possible and even mentor you on how to talk to your child so you don’t surprise them and just drop off all of a sudden at the residential because that won’t help the teen. But yet when your child is getting discharged they just pull your teen out the group therapy and tell the teen your parents are here ? for you. Your teen can’t even say bye to anyone or get belongings together. Not to even mention that your teens belongings got mixed with roommate’s belongings. I was called to come back to return the belongings I regret turning back. That way they could’ve learn the hard way, maybe even give them a piece of the little resentment that my child took home that day! Therapist shouldn’t talk bad about other clients well my teens therapist did to me about another teen client. I can only imagine what the therapist would say about my teen to other parents. I mean our teens are there to get professional help and they are also getting paid but anyways my first time I get that service from a therapist. Therapist don’t criticize or judge clients.

I was not inclined to believe the negative reviews of this place initially. However, now experiencing this first hand as a parent and what my daughter has told me the negative reviews was 100% correct.

**negative reviews are under the parent name of “Casa Pacifica”

They are very good in the beginning and somewhere in the middle things change. If a youth is not progressing the way they want they will find a way to just remove the youth from the program instead of figuring out the problems. They changed psychiatrist every two weeks with my daughter and it was exhausting redoing assessments and re - explaining your child’s story and your child gets tired of it. They have no in house psychiatrist, it is all done tele-health. In the end they dumped her at the local hospital and asked us to go pick her up. Lying on what they told me on the phone, what they told the hospital and the truth of what was written incident report from their office (which matches my daughter’s story).

Social worker was admit it was the house hold that lead to my daughter doing drugs and becoming addicted. We have never done drugs and don’t keep alcohol in our house. My daughter became addicted at school and she was there for help, not to blame cast. The fact that they would not let her take responsibility for her own actions and blame everyone else made it worse.

Reconsider sending your child here. Since my child has been home she is mentally in a good spot and stated she was traumatized from being there which caused her to act out. She constantly said she was being bullied by staff and acted out because of it.

Till this day she feels like she still received nothing out of stay other than being traumatized from other kids and staff.

My healthcare insurance case manager is aware of their treatment . She even tried calling back for a full explanation and received none. She called me back saying this is typical of certain residential place facilities. Please reconsider.

I lived here for about 2 years from the age of 12. This place was top-notch. Well balanced. Staff was always friendly and made sure you were well taken care of. Some of my best memories from my childhood were because of casa
