I feel like you were paying to shop. Then the kids activities were so expensive it was almost unaffordable to families with multiple kids. I understand charging an entry fee because it keeps down on the type of persons not wanted.... but I feel like for 30$ there should have been more offered entertainment wise. It was like you got nothing for your money, you could have visited all of the vendors Facebook pages for free and purchased items for the same price as you would have from the booth. There was some cool vendors but I just don't feel like for the amount of money and activities offered it was worth the drive or time. There was alot of people that couldn't attend because by the time a family of 5 made entry and got a snack that was 100$ gone. It was as if the venue itself took a consumers budget before they even got to shop the booths. If you plan on going and have a family be sure to take at least 250.00 to be able to enjoy yourself. Especially if you have small children that want to do the kids activities.

Sadly, lots of vendors had closed due to bad weather coming in by the time I arrived. From what I saw, lots of nice vendors with cool stuff. Great past experience though.

Pleasant quality time spent with the Mrs just looking around. The one thing we both commented on, coming home, was that we didn’t see a lot of people buying. The booths seemed to be busy with people, but not very many making purchases. The busiest vendors seemed to be the the food and concessions. The metal works, kids bouncy things, and leather booths seemed to have a good day, but the jewelry, clothing, woodworking, lotions and candles booths had people looking; but no one was buying (at least that we observed).

Have to wonder, are the “Arts and Crafts,” fairs becoming a thing of the past? Many of the vended items are now available at Walmart’s and other big box stores. Could this be why we didn’t see a lot of purchases?

We had a lot of fun and it looked like others did as well. It just seemed many went home empty handed (or had no intention of buying anything anyway). It would be a real shame if these arts and crafts shows became a thing of the past.

It was a nice day trip for us. There are lots of unique vendors especially those who work in metal, wood, and glass. For the most part the prices were quite reasonable. I thought that there were going to be more venders than there were, but the venders there were nice. I also was surprised at the entrance fee. I am military, so I got in free, but for our friends it was $4 each. I guess this covers the cost of the live music, but I was still surprised by it.
All in all it was a nice day out for the family, but I much preferred visiting Santuck. (Also located in Alabama),
