We had an absolutely magical time with Buckaroos Horse-Drawn Rides! From the moment we arrived, the staff’s kindness and warmth made us feel so welcome. The Santa sleigh ride was truly enchanting—our kids were thrilled to meet Santa, sit on his lap, and enjoy delicious hot chocolate and cookies. Every detail of the event was so thoughtfully planned, and the joy on our children’s faces was priceless.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and their enthusiasm made the experience even more special. We are so grateful for the wonderful memories we made and can’t wait to come back for another ride. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a festive and family-friendly holiday event!

Cozy, Memorable Sleigh Ride Experience [01/18/2025]

Though there was no snow on the ground when my fiancé and I went on our sleigh ride, we still had an incredible time! The weather might not have been what we expected, but it didn’t take away from how special the experience was. The sleigh itself was charming, and our guide (Naomi & Buck) made us feel right at home, sharing stories and making the ride fun and informative.

We both enjoyed the peaceful, intimate setting—the gentle pace of the ride, the fresh air, and just being able to relax together in such a unique way. The horses were calm and clearly well cared for, which made the whole experience feel even more special.

Even without snow, the landscape was beautiful in its own way, and we had fun exploring the area at a slower pace. It was a perfect opportunity to disconnect from the everyday and enjoy each other’s company in a peaceful, scenic setting.

All in all, it was a memorable day, and we’re already talking about doing it again next year, hopefully with some snow next time!

We could not have had a more magical night than with Buckaroos! Our ride was fun, funny and educational. We can’t wait to come back in the summer and try their BBQ ride. I feel it’s important to say - we rode on wheels since there was not enough snow on the ground. STILL GO!! It was just as fun and amazing. Thanks Buck and Team!

We had a private ride tonight with Buck (and Jake & Roger)! It was amazing!!! Buck is so knowledgeable and took time to teach my husband how to lasso, and was just such a fun guy! We definitely plan on visiting for a sleigh ride in the winter, but definitely recommend going any time of year!

My wife, mom, and sister-in-law all absolutely raved about their carriage ride. They couldn’t stop smiling when feeding the beautiful horses and taking a breathtaking ride through the San Juan Mountains. Would definitely recommend.

We booked a wagon ride and Buckaroos delivered!!! Olivia's kindness was beyond measure and her knowledge of the area made the ride so enjoyable. We were treated with a mini riding session for my niece and I can guarantee a core memory was made. We are so grateful for our short time at Buckaroos and can't wait to come back with our family. Huge thanks to the staff and sweetest horses!

We did the horse drawn carriage ride with our family of 4 yesterday and it was such a beautiful experience. Andrew (Buck) was an awesome host and great tour guide. His hospitality and charm made the experience excellent. My kids loved every moment of this: petting the majestic horses (Barb and Sue), seeing wildlife in the woods, lassoing, but our favorite was the campfire s'mores with Carl's fun guitar music in the background. A close to nature, simple and fun family experience. I 100% recommend if you are visiting Pagosa Springs.

We were visiting town for the weekend with friends and thought this would be a fun activity with our little ones and it did not disappoint!

The ranch is absolutely gorgeous with scenic backgrounds, rolling hills and thick forests, perfect for photography.

The horses are very well cared for and the grounds are very clean and tidy. Much more so than my tack room!

Prepare yourself for some very corny dad jokes from Buck mixed in with fun facts about the area while riding along in a surprisingly comfortable open air wagon.

The dinner area is cozy with plenty of activities for all ages to enjoy. My son personally enjoyed chasing the ranch dogs. Keep an eye on the small white one, he’s a sneak and will happily steal a hot dog!

I unfortunately forgot our guitarist name but she played wonderfully the entire time we were there and was happy to take requests as well.

Overall this was one of the highlights of the trip and I am so surprised as how much fun it was. I highly recommend!
