My mother-in-law lived at Brookdale for four years before her passing. She was a resident of both the independent living and the assisted living facilities. She loved living there and the staff was the most warm, friendly, caring and professional of any that I have ever encountered. The staff of the assisted living facility went way beyond anything that I could have wished for with her care. She was cared for in an extremely professional and caring manner, always with respect and dignity. Rosalie and her staff were the most amazing care team I have ever had the pleasure of working with. There was absolutely nothing they wouldn't do for my mother-in-law, and my appreciation for what they did can't be expressed in a short review. I would highly recommend the Brookdale facility, their assisted living care staff and all their support staff to anyone who may be looking for a facility to care for their loved ones. I believe if you need excellent care for a family member, you should highly consider the facility at Brookdale University Park.

My Mom is 87 and has been at Brookdale University Park for almost 3 years. I can't express how well she has been taken care of. Rosalie heads up the group and she is wonderful. Whenever I have a question or there ate any issues, she is always available to my brother and I. She responds immediately if I have questions, and also keeps us informed. Rosalie and her staff are amazing and always keeps up with our Mom. Rosalie is very straight foreword and always responds to any inquiries we may have. My brother and I feel very supported by Roslies and staff, and feel very comfortable that our Mom is being well taken care of. I can't express enough how that makes us feel. If you had ten stars, I would gladly rate Rosalie and her staff there. We love where our Mom is, and how well she is taken care of and supported.

Brookdale University Park is an excellent retirement community. The staff and residents are warm and friendly. The living situation is very good. The staff is very responsive and quick to help. Activities are varied and entertaining. Most of all, residents are kind and interesting. I highly recommend Brookdale University Park as a lovely place to live.

My 80 yr old mom lives here and I go visit and have meals with her in the beautiful full service dining room! The security is tight and each apartment has a security alarm and slip and fall buttons that go directly to the front desk! I sleep well knowing she's at such a wonderful place! Absolutely no complaints!

This past two months I have been using Brookdale at Home to help with my husband who broke his shoulder. I couldn't have gotten through without their help. They are always cheerful and willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done. Thanks for all of the help. We will miss seeing your smiling faces now that my husband is recovered.

Love the apartment and most of the people. Reception staff, housekeeping and wait staff are excellent and pleasant. Food is hit and miss. Always running out of something. Vegetables are almost always overcooked. There’s a running theme of steamed squash and zucchini, which are usually mush. Soup is universally excellent. The desserts are usually good too. Main courses are wannabe gourmet. Some good, but mostly tasteless. Would like to see more normal food and a variety of vegetables. The dining room quite often gets ridiculously hot. We’ve set up a thermometer at various tables and it gets up to 80 degrees. Lately, I’ve given up eating the meal between the quality of it and the heat at dinner.
Most of the activities are started and run by the residents. Those run by Brookdale are mostly entertainment. There needs to be more interactive ones. A variety of different exercise classes would be nice, especially at different times.

My mother has resided at Brookdale University Park for almost 10 years, first in Independent Living, and now in Assisted Living. During that time we have gotten to know some very caring people who have looked out for her, helped her, and gone above and beyond to adjust to her changing needs, and to help her have a good life at Brookdale. At times, staff turnover has been a problem, as with many businesses these days, but recently that seems to have improved. The current building renovations will do much to freshen up and brighten the public areas of the building for both residents and visitors. Overall, the staff at Brookdale University Park has provided a welcoming, safe, comfortable home for my mother for the last 10 years.
