After researching and visiting many independent living residences in Lakewood I decided on making Brookdale Meridian Westland my new home. It’s absolutely the best , easy to give a 5 star rating!
Everything is so well maintained, and comfortable, from the spacious indoor common areas to the beautiful outdoor walking paths and sitting areas to my lovely apartment .Everyone, staff and residents, are inviting friendly and super helpful. Stephanie gladly answered all my questions, welcomed my return visits with my family and was always available in person and easy to reach on the phone.

I have been living at the Brookdale Meridian Westland over a year now and just love it. It is a beautiful facility, well maintained with lovely grounds where one can take walks. The staff is welcoming, caring and attentive to our needs. There are numerous activities covering a range of interests--exercise classes, games, travel programs, book discussion groups, art classes and more. It is a wonderful place to retire and enjoy life!

This place has great caring employees. The folks i know who live here enjoy it. There is always a very full & diverse schedule should folks want to participate. They host outings to different places like restaurants & events. They have entertainment (folks come in to sing it play instruments) & they have a group made up entirely of residents. They have movies, art classes, bible studies, games & a myriad of other things. And although they have a diverse menu, the folks I've spoken with are not that excited about the food.

Brookdale Meridian Westland has an active social calendar and amazing rotating daily menu. There is never nothing to do and the in-house salon has been such a blessing for my grandmother to feel like herself again with such wonderful assistance. Very clean, very professional, and most of all very fun!

I am with a local placement agency and had the opportunity to tour Brookdale Meridian Westland with one of my families. Stephanie did a wonderful job presenting the community to my family. The residents were out and about and always had positive feedback on why they live there and how much they enjoy it. The rates are very good with lots of amenities. My band has played there or the past 8 years and have found this community to be so fun and active that it has become one of our best places to entertain! They always have tasty treats and happy hour refreshments for the residents too. Dancing is very popular among them, and every tune we play is their favorite! We all have such fun and look forward to every eventful gig there!

My mom has truly found a home and community here. She is treated like family and everyone goes above and beyond to help her in so many ways. The food is also really good and they have many special celebrations and activities all through the year. The staff truly cares about the wellbeing of all the residents.
