Far and away the BEST program to get people off of the streets, get them sober, and help make them a member of society. How there is NOT a line around the building to get in here is beyond me. Hands down the most terrific clinical / recovery staff anywhere NEAR Denver. Great food, warm beds, kind atmosphere. With soon to be 3 facilities Bridge House is TRYING to reach their community with every resource they have. If you're willing to stay sober and put in a little bit of recovery work yourself, this program CAN save your life

Very poor management and staff members on a power trip.

I really believed in their program from the start.
I really went at it head on. I did the most amazing job I could house keeping which is what you do the first few weeks. I had even cleaned things that had never been cleaned like the elevator. And just like a review below,. staff plays favorites. And in my particular situation,
The power tripping person in charge of us for house keeping was brought up in a meeting, her job was to give someone a kudos. Funny thing is a black woman picked the only other black woman to give a kudos. And the really funny thing is, she even made a comment that was about me, and basically why she liked her lookalike and not me.. So it seems she knew herself who really deserves the kudos. Apparently I did something wrong by going to my bed to retrieve the straw used to blow into the alcohol test device. And instead of talking to me about it, she picked her lookalike because she "follows the rules" and went on to mention a certain person who went to go get their breathalyzer straw wasn't following the rules.
Still don't know what I did wrong, couldn't find anything in the rules book. She would yell and scream at grown men like she thinks she's intimidating. Completely inappropriate, and even racial based behavior towards myself as a talk white man.. ya i am used to getting picked on.
More is expected of me, I am not recognized for performing since it's expected of me. But this specific incident made me realize I was never gonna succeed with this very toxic staff member. So I said screw it, I went to go buy a joint across the street and I was spotted. Lol!
When I came back my case worker and this toxic staff member were sitting their like my parents 🙄 oh God... And she screams and cussed at me.. apparently because of me she didn't get to go home when she wanted to?
So she was abusive and very aggressive. Came at me like she was gonna kick my ass while I was packing up my stuff to leave.. HIGHLY inappropriate conduct. They told me to come back the next day to beg to be let back in. And of course Ms. Tuff front desk lady was gonna get even worse with her condescending disrespectful tone. And I knew it wasn't gonna go over well. I won't put up with leaders who abuse their position of authority.
Went back to doing drugs to survive the nights on the streets..

So if you're s black woman, this is a great place to come, she was even nicer to the Hispanic people so just don't come here if you're white.
My girlfriend is black and she thought it seemed quite unfair to me for no immediately apparent reason.

I was referred and accepted to this program by a court social worker after multiple run ins with the law partially motivated by mental health problems coupled with the hopelessness of homeless. Let me be upfront by saying, yes, it is infact better than being on the streets. I encountered numerous problems while living there. The most egregious one being that for a place that fancies itself a "work first" program, it itself has absolutley nothing to do with assisting you with obtaining your I-9 documents. I was referred to another agency 10 miles away from the building and managed to finagle exactly two three-hour buss passes from my caseworker until the outside pastor gave me a month one. Aside from the initial intake, I had zero sit down meetings with my case worker, providing him updates in passing whenever I saw him. I forwarded some paperwork from probation to my case worker to print (without looking at it prior), and was confronted about a medical marijuana form as though I had requested it. I did infact relapse on marijuana, recieved via another participant of the program. During my interactions with other participants of the program one told me they me blew off a company event "disapeared for two days to get high" and was accepted back but "grounded" I was immediately discontinued over the marijuana. The staff member during my meeting addressed my parenting situation and i reacted poorly. A recently discontinued (over a physical incident) participant was allowed to hang out on their patio obviously intoxicated as hell and was showered with "survival gifts" so to speak. You are more than welcome to eat two slices of chocolate cake from their ample donations, smoke five cigarettes in a row and top it off with two Red Bulls but if you relapse on the legal drug you're back on the streets. I was performing numerous chores without being asked out of respect for being off the streets and was engaging with hobbies such as reading and art. I am now back to sleeping on the streets.

I am so grateful this place exists. It really is a very unique opportunity and I highly appreciate everything they did working with me. Change takes time and putting in the effort has to be done by you. The staff there is good people works with you to create a a great support structure and allow for you to take the time to get back on your feet. Thank you.

My sister was going here for a few days. The apartment complex next to it has a drug den that my sister went to and overdosed. This place needs to be more secure in making sure that drug dealers are not hanging out near their facility. I get that the people inside can decided to go do their own thing and no longer be a part of the program but something needs to be done with the drug den so that more people that go here don’t have easy access to the drugs. Trying to get peoples lives back on track is a wonderful mission but it’s hard to keep that going if you have drug dens right next door.

This place is horrible! They play favoritism and if youbare not liked by the staff they kick you out. They don't really help you find work and as other reviews have mentioned they keep a good portion of your pay check. They don't screen well for other peoplebdoimgbdrugband alcohol in the house, so everyone is intoxicated while youbare trying to be sober.

And people coming in and out of the house bring other drugs like fentanyl into the house and drug you with it, potentially ending your life. This is not a safe place to be by any means and the person that runs the place acts likebits his own personal playground and offers no real support if you are capable of working and doing better for your life. It's like they just want to use you to make themselves look good and keep getting funding.

I would not recommend any to stay here if you are not wanting to be exposed to drugs, an unsafe environment and people just making you feel horrible about your situation and then holding you back from finding work. -5 stars to this place.

Been attacked on camera and all they did was kick the guy out. They refused to give the footage to the police and they only give that which is donated while talking the public how much they do for others. They give the minimum and they expect the maximum. They claim themselves as a charitable organization while they make bank on posing as a helpful group. The sick cats the staff drives is a very good sign of their tax- free fraud. This is a corrupt organization and many of the staff should be in prison.
