I was greeted at the door by a gentleman looked and sounded as tho he was drunk and high. Tried asking about food and work but was cut off with “this ain’t that kind of place” and an offer of a meal and an intake into their programs. The place had a very unsettling vibe and I couldn’t get away fast enough.

2 stars because while it didn’t have anything I needed (despite reviews that say otherwise), it does have programs for those looking to stay long term in the area.

I accumulated 28,000 in medical debt because of this terrible place. It is run like a jail. Most people would rather be I jail than there. Religion stuffed down you throat. Major violations of the constitution. Also they take half of people food stamps for hot meals but don't buy any food with them. They make you pay to stay there. I know motels cheaper cleaner and safer. The great white communist lady and her Indian sidekick use the money for several vacations a year. It's bed bug infested and foods old as hell. The great white uses the missions vans to tote her family all over town for the holidays so that the mission doesn't have them. This is all totally illegal and yet nobody has the balls to do anything

It was a safe haven, I love the staff and religious value... They do need a bigger facility and the food was terrible.. But I was blessed to have experience bread of life mission.. And for 7 bucks a day it is better than the streets.. Thank you bread of life...

I totally agree with Steven above poster. I call this mission, bread of death instead of bread of life. They violate the constitution 1st amendment, freedom of religion. What freedom. These mission style shelters that claim to help people, demand your soul in exchange for life necessity items and help. When I was there this gd Indian woman kept telling me how to dress. I was about to jump her and another woman held me off. Im barred for life. They did me a favor barring me. Fake people.

It has its good and bad. Staff is over worked. Allows both male and female. Different areas of course. Must be sober.
