The bread here is fantastic! I've tried a few different kinds and have never been disappointed. Even better if you can get there first thing and have something so fresh it's still warm. I also recently started getting coffee here and have been impressed. I always get a dry cappuccino which is easy to get wrong, but it has been perfect every single time.

Just want to preface this with the fact that I'm French. I have very high standard for pastries, baguettes and bread in general. Some might say I'm snobby about it and they probably wouldn't be wrong.

Bread is phenomenal and a jewel of Durango. Baguettes are solid, their breads are excellent, croissants I fully approve of, scones are delicious, and their sandwiches are really good as well. Craft bread in the US is expensive but this place often has day old bread to toast or throw in the oven, and I love that you can supply on quality bread there without breaking the bank.

Love what you guys are doing, keep it up

The Sow Your Oats cookie is so good. They will slice your loaf of choice for you. The sandwiches, Coffee, cookies, pastries, pretty much everything here is very good. Top it off with extremely pleasant employees and you have yourself an experience that's hard not to repeat daily.

Inconsistent, ignorant ownership, apathetic energy in the food (subpar quality and overpriced to rip off tourists). If you like to support hardworking and honest people, I would not recommend spending your money or time here. (I write this with sadness, the spot seemed to have a positive history with the town from the original ownership, and the “vibe” has potential, but the fake and immature energy of the workers and current owners there just makes it hard to stomach.)

I ordered a small cake for our (small family) wedding reception and the baker and team at Bread were fantastic. They called me back and discussed options and even were able to work out a dairy free solution. The staff also made it easy for me to coordinate a third party pick up. The cake itself was delicious and used seasonal berries as layers.

Quality has been consistently lacking, poor customer service at the counter, often sold out of selections before 11am. Sourdough ans pastries never seem to actually be fresh or reliably enjoyable.

I can’t imagine a more “Durango“ experience. Super hippy vibe with bike stuff everywhere. I think I’m in heaven!

The baked goods are absolutely amazing! The coffee is delicious! The Decour is perfect for the area, and it is very comfortable and inviting. Everything about this place makes me happy. Get your butt out there and enjoy the town, and this is a great place to start!
