My sister started attending this beautiful school in January and she absolutely loves the staff and the students. My sister is in her 40’s and lost her sight 2 yrs ago and it took her some time to deal with her anxiety been in public. My sister said that she loves this campus that it feels like a home. I’m so grateful to come with her every day of the week and that she feels so comfortable and loves what she’s learning. The whole staff are angels, all her instructors are amazing: Maricarmen, Emily, Carrie, Ann.

Braille Institute is a great place for blind people to go and be surrounded by their peers. All classes offered are free and it is only run as a nonprofit organization through donations volunteers teach many great classes. It's a great place to go for blind people because they feel comfortable everybody knows what they're going through all their struggles and have lots of great ideas on how to get past the struggles and make life easier and give you more Mobility.

Great way to network with others and learn new skills for those who have low or no vision classes and library services are free to those who qualify. In July, 2017, braille Institute is moving temporarily across the street and will remain there while it is being remodeled.
