Back when my sister and I went here, she would get bullied everyday. When she was called names or physically hurt, the other kids would not care and the staff did not help her for months. This branch smelled absolutely horrid, and I would gag every time I walked in. There were also staffs that liked certain kids to an abnormal extent (asking for private information, telling them to sit on their laps). These workers did not care about any of the children there besides their favorites and would make it extremely obvious (even saying it out loud). They were always on their phones or talking to a small group instead of doing their job, but I'm pretty sure these workers are not there anymore. However, the staffs changed very often, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were just replaced with more incompetent staffs. Overall, having to go to the Boys & Girls Club here was one of the worst experiences of our lives. We dreaded going here and would beg our parents not to go. Every time we drive past this building, we cry a little.

Our kids have been members here for years now, and this is our second (non-consecutive) summer in their summer program. A few years ago when Mindy was in charge things were fantastic. The kids were younger, and they loved it. My son would talk about becoming an L.I.T. as a teenager. Now it's a few years later. The kids are older, and we were concerned with Donald in charge, and a lot of the staff changed over the years, there would be a problem. Now ... my god, is it going to be okay?! Good news, the staff is still fantastic, Donald is a motivated, friendly, wonderful leader, and the kids love him. No one bats an eye at the diabetic or dietary issues, and have been completely receptive to any accommodations he's needed (not many, really - he's pretty self-managed), and the programs for the summer have only improved over the years. The staff knows all the kids, and they treat each one like an individual.

If I could give them a zero star I would. Very bad experience trying to register my daughter. I was told that as long as my child was in full time kindergarten she may join the after school program at the age of 4. The Friday before school started I was notified that she could not attend until she turns 5 years old. Had I been made aware of this in the beginning I could have found other accommodations or did something different. Every level of the staff told me something different regarding membership at the club. Nothing on the website states that a child has to be 5 to enroll. Champion charter school accepts kindergarten students at 4yo as long as they turn 5 before December 1st, if the BGC can not accommodate everyone at champion school I don’t think they should accommodate anyone.

My son has joined the B&G club for child care and distance learning. The staff are genuine and show great care for the kids. Grateful to have them as an option for school breaks now that we've returned to in person learning.

My nieces were able to go Christmas shopping this year, which was amazing. They also had a great Thanksgiving dinner. Holidays are probably the only plus. Some negatives would be, Adult staff is never at the front, you are always welcomed by a teenager. Also, the speakers dont reach through the entire building. When i go to pick up my niece it takes at least 20 minutes for someone to go into the gym to get her, because the speakers dont work in there. Furthermore, my niece has also had stuff stolen from her backpack. My teen niece also attends Boys & Girls club, and since shes a teen i guess she can leave? Multiple times i have gone to get her and they tell me she went to the "Store", they should make it so once you have checked in, you cant check out. Its very concerning when you pay a fee & when you go to pick up your child, they are not there.

I have attended the Compadre Club for four years and been an L.I.T for three years. The club, has always been here for me as a young middle-schooler and now I am going to be a Freshman. The club, has opened tremendous opportunities for me. For parents wanting to know if this is a decent place for there kids, this club I highly recommend for after-school, recreational use, or school breaks!

Staff is unorganized. Front desk manager is never present. Branch Manager has not contacted me on my issued. My kids were bullied for a week straight on a daily basis for 5 days. I brought my issued to there attention everyday hand was never contaced. L.I.T's are irresponsible hand side during dodge ball. My son had two brushed knees from ball being thrown to hard hand daughter had a welt on left shoulder. Do not attend.........
