My daughter has been attending the Boys and Girls Club of Frisco since the end of September of this year. It was communicated that my child has special needs and I was assured that they would make sure that my child was well attended to. On Wednesday December 6, 2017 my child was assaulted by another child under their care. My child had abrasions on both sides of her neck. One being as big as a adult fist. I was contacted after the club was closed by the Director Brenda Austin and was told that the assault took place while they were watching a movie.

I immediately asked if there was staff present and she told me that there was but that the staff member did NOT witness anything. I had to rush my daughter to the ER due to her injuries and her overall mental state. She was/is traumatized.

I sent the director a email to confirm our conversation and attached medical documentation and pictures of my child's injuries, requesting a urgent meeting with her, the staff that was present during the assault and the child's family and never got a response.

When I finally sit with her after going to the club, I was treated harshly, told that the child that assaulted my child was there at the club and that she couldn't provide me with any information because "its a process that they have to follow" and she never explained the process. I was never given a incident report and she lacked sympathy for my child's health.

I was able to meet with the COO Debra Sweezer and was treated worst! She was hostile toward me because I wanted my mother present for support. She was very belligerent and talked to us in a threatening tone. She never took accountability for their negligence. I never got an apology and I am still without an incident report. Her words to me were," It has happened, what do you want us to do?" I have been left to pick up the pieces after my child was assaulted in their care.

Both my sons have chosen the boys and girls club of Frisco Texas to do their community service. They love to go and interact with the kids. They love to fix anything ( with their scout leaders ) that needs fixing . It has a great atmosphere and they both have felt it was a really great place for kids.

The WORST experience I’ve ever had with the Frisco Boys and Girls club. If I could, I would give them 0 stars. I decided to volunteer with them, so I signed up for an orientation at the Stonebriar Mall once Frisco. I sat there for 30 MINUTES AND NO ONE SHOWED UP. It was utterly embarrassing and humiliating. I called and the office answered me for the FIRST TIME and said “Vanessa will be there. She left a while ago.” WELL WHERE IS THIS VANESSA LADY? I WAITED THERE AND SHE PULLED A NO SHOW. I don’t recommend this “organization” TO ANYONE. It’s a waste of time, gas, and commitment. GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER. Also, the staff is horrible and should all be fired for misleading customers. Done deal. They suck. Also, I hope you see this Vanessa.

I was very hesitant but found out that I should of put my son there years ago. The people care about the kids and my son has made long term friends there. Now it may not look like the places he is accustomed to going to lol and the food is not the best..but i know he is safe. Thankyou for a great summer for my son!
