Huge win in my opinion we will definitely be looking at this thrift store before any others when we need something or just wanna get some retail therapy in and maybe see a cat or two 😁

I've checked out there website and was probably planning on becoming a volunteer since I love animals and would love to work with them and all that sort of stuff. 5 stars because I love animals and their dedication to helping save lives and for being a no-kill shelter/place.

We adopted two kittens from here last year. They were very accommodating in letting us meet the kittens and thoroughly vetted us prior to adoption. Kornelia was great to work with and has continued to follow up on how the girls are getting along. They even helped find a home for a stray that was found by a friend. They truly have the animals best interest at heart. So glad we have a no kill shelter like this one in Blount County!

i cannot say enough good things about this organization and the experiences i have had with them. i adopted two cats from them ten years ago, and i was so pleased with the whole process that i went back to them again last fall when i was looking to adopt again. all of the people i dealt with there are committed to the well being of these animals, and go out of their way and commit lots of time to finding them loving homes. while they must do their due diligence with potential adopters to make sure the animals are taken care of, they work with you to make the experience is as smooth as possible. i recommend you stop by and see these folks when you are looking to adopt.

i would like to give a special nod to kornelia, who worked with me during the adoption process, and is never bothered when i send yet another picture of my little fur buddies. thank you all again.

I stopped in to check them out and ask about the charity. I did not see anything that I needed but found out when I could donate.

Lady was nice so I pulled out some cash and opened her donations jar and plopped it in. She seemed very happy and slightly shocked that I would pull out more than just pocket change. I was glad to donate to a worthy cause.

I will be donating items in the future. Love the fur babies.

The address listed is for a thrift store not the actual humane society. It is located at a different location, I've driven by it about 2 or 3 miles down the road. The website advertises a pet food bank so when I went there asking about it I was told there was no such thing and the very rude lady said she has run the place for 6 years. I tried to call before wasting time and gas driving all the way there but apparently they do not answer the phone. Everyone else is absolutely correct about the disgusting smell as soon as you open the door. Just under the railroad bridge on the opposite side of the street is a much nicer cleaner thrift store that I would recommend. They are friendly and they actually have a pet food bank and are very polite and friendly.
