The Barclay Lodge is beautiful and easily accommodated our family group of about 40 in July 2024. It is a great location, beautiful views on all sides from every room. The only negative that I can say about this place is there is no air conditioning which isn't a problem in the mornings and evenings in the summer, but it gets very warm in the afternoons. Each bedroom has a box fan. I stayed in #4 on the ground floor. Almost all of the 17 bedrooms have a queen bed and set of bunk beds except for 3 or 4 rooms that have two queens and one room called the bunk room that has four sets of bunk beds and two bathrooms. All other rooms have their own ensuite bathrooms that have a pump bottle of shampoo/body wash combination. The rooms are very plain, no decor at all, but very clean. The mattress in #4 at least, was firm and slept well. The large kitchen is very well appointed with three stoves with ovens, three microwaves, two full size refrigerators, two dishwashers, and approximately 100 settings of plates, cups and utensils. We were able to obtain a detailed inventory list of the kitchen items from the office ahead of time. There is a laundry room with washers and dryers as well. There is a fire pit in the front of the building.

People inquiring about the Lodge need to understand that this is a lodge within the YMCA of the Rockies at Estes Park, CO, and is NOT an independent hotel facility, so all Front Desk operations are handled at the YMCA's Administration Building's Guest Check-in desks. Please contact the YMCA for information regarding the lodge's amenities.
It's a great site for a family reunion or religious retreat group event; it accommodated our group of 80 adults and children very comfortably this past weekend.
The Lodge is comprised of multiple individual guest rooms of various sizes and formats flanking the central gathering room and attached kitchen where guest groups do their own cooking. Each guest room has its own full bathroom, and electronic keycard access for privacy and security. The Lodge doesn't have maid service, but bed linens and towels are provided for each person, so guests do not have to bring their own.
Overall, the Barclay Lodge was a wonderful place to spend the weekend with extended family as we enjoyed the variety of entertainment facilities and the sheer beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Wonderful spacious lodge with great kitchen, fireplace, bedrooms and living area. Grill, porch area with Adirondack chairs - we go back there every 2 years! So clean and cozy!

What an absolutely perfect facility for a family reunion, work retreat, school or social club reunion. Seventeen private bedrooms with private baths, a huge kitchen area, dining area, and a wonderful common area for games, talking, dancing, and just hanging out. So much to do right there at the Y and so close to Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park. You could easily stay for a week and still have activities and adventures unexplored. Wonderful!

Stayed there for the Steel Mountain Handpan gathering. Can't beat the location and the beds were comfortable.
