It's a decent hospital. I believe people when they say theyve had bad experiences here, i did too (one of the nurses was awful) but other than that one experience everyone has been super nice and you get to keep your phone and it's a clean place to go. The food is mid but they also offer snacks. Compared to another hospital ive been to, this is a great one and the doctor here is really smart. There are a lot of nice techs and stuff, honestly some of the nurses were the worst ones because obviously they're not therapists but would take charge for some reason. I also would be careful if the person being sent here is a severe suicide risk because at times i didn't feel like we were watched enough. But if they're more low risk it can be a good place to go. My experience was helpful and i was really happy to see how clean and roomy it was and how few patients were there.

Diabetic NOT FRIENDLY!! They have no structure to follow. They allowed me to have my AirPods and 24hrs later took them off the charger without talking to me about it saying it’s not an allowed item.. well then why did y’all let me have them after the full search at the door.. I was served rolled roast beef sandwich meat and sliced cheese for dinner and then was marked as refused to eat even k ow I ate the cheese. My blood sugar dropped obviously because I haven’t had carbs and the blame me for refusing to eat! Ohh what’s for breakfast how about a cup of ramen noodles.. I couldn’t sleep walked into the “common” area and the workers where snoozing away wth! It’s hard for me to feel safe in a place that is very unorganized- most uneducated about diabetes and how to treat it! When my sugar was 50 they were rushing to find and give me insulin!! INSULIN!!! WTH I told a doctor I didn’t want sedative meds as I’m diabetic and need to wake up he prescribed 150mg of seriqiol. Spelled wrong. This place could be of much help but it’s a management nightmare that’s clearly put patients at more risk. They may focus on suicidal part but completely neglect any other issues that you have medicaly and if you challenge them on them giving you no carbs as a T1D who carb counts they proceed to tell you they will send you to the hospital for refusal to eat or take care of yourself it’s completely ridiculous and seems that’s what they say when they are wrong and don’t like you for saying it

Life is feeling really, really tough right now. I walked in but was told to go to the other clinic. I walked out confused, went to the other clinic.

They were confused and started instructing me to go back to the other place but I started bawling because I'm grieving and struggling so much. The person was really nice and offered me a drink and said they would see if they could get me connected with a therapist. He even informed me that it would only be a few minutes but then like over half an hour went by. I don't know. It was reaching almost a 2-hour Mark of when I left my house so I had to return back to work.

Somebody did call me and I did come back into the walk-in clinic the next day because I guess there was some kind of error. I met with that therapist but then at the end of the session or in the middle to the end I start learning that I'm going to be passed off to somebody else.

So I leave and wait for a call. I get a call from somebody who tells me my next appointment time but it's going to be with somebody new and it's only before I get to the actual therapist. At this point I just told them to cancel my appointment because I'm tired of talking to everybody. I don't want to talk to that many people about my problems. Come on, this is extremely inefficient and it interferes with people trying to get needed care.

I'm too tired to repeat the pain of my story over and over and over again. And it is so frustrating when you have to tell it to somebody new over and over and over again. That's a terrible experience. I'd rather just let the tiktok algorithm save me at this point because it's more reliable.

At first I didn't feel like I needed to come here but after the first day and meeting all the really nice people here I realized that I really do need help and these guys really gave me the resources to get better and feel better about myself. The staff here are really amazing and made me feel comfortable and they just listened and gave me some really cool coping skills to deal with what's going on in my life and now I feel comfortable going out into the world with a better outlook on life.

two years ago i was here twice in october for suicidal thoughts and actions, a year ago i had attempted suicide and returned.
previous experiences were wonderful but this one shattered my trust for the entire team. my cane was taken away because it was deemed as a weapon, and i wasnt given another mobility aid for several days. and when they gave me one, they took it away when they thought i didnt need it. i was in severe amounts of pain and couldn't walk without assistance from fellow patients for the majority of my stay. i had also gotten bullied for my interests by staff and that is one of the worst things you could do to someone in that situation. i have attempted once and been in the er for self harm since that visit, but i dont intend to return. mental healthcare should be accessible for everyone, not just ablebodied people.

I'd recommend this place for anyone who needs help. They're extremely compassionate and understanding at this place and know what they are doing. Unlike West Springs in Grand Junction, the environment is calm, comfortable, and homey and welcoming. I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD) in 2019 and I also have autism spectrum disorder. No violence, no uncertainty, and certainly no feelings of fear here. If you need to talk to someone or need a way to get away from what is causing mental anguish this place is for you.

A lot of really wonderful people work here but they have got to get ahold of their processes and systems. The only way to get seen is same day appointments you have to show up for and cross your fingers they have one. Good luck if you try to call and get help with anything. And I’ve now been waiting unmedicated for a month for my prescription to be filled due to system issues. I love the concept and the theoretical accessibility, but they may have expanded more quickly than they can manage.

The start of the process was good it filled us with hope but at every step of the process after was filled with road blocks disrespect and stress. Every time we tried to continue or fulfill their demands we were told to start over including a call at 8 pm on a Friday night demanding we go to the ER and get records released or we would be dropped and would have to start over. DONT waste your time with these people
