We recently moved our Mom into Avita of Needham, and we couldn’t be more pleased! Avita is a caring, clean, and compassionate environment for residents with memory impairment. Moving a parent into memory care is a very emotional experience for all, and we were supported by the Avita staff the whole time. Special shout out to Maryanne who has been so kind and quick to respond to all our questions, Jazz who has generously shared pictures of our Mom at various activities and outings, Lynne for her support and guidance, and Maria and the other nurses/aides who help care for Mom’s day-to-day needs.

Moving my mom to Avita of Needham was a great choice for our family. She is closer to me so I and her grandkids get to see her more often.
Everyone on the staff has been wonderful to my mom. They are warm, engaging and so kind.
Recently, Kevin went above and beyond by not only receiving new furniture I had ordered for mom but putting it together, moving it in and moving the old furniture out.
Thank you to everyone staff for taking care of my mom and keeping her safe.

My Mom has been at Avita for the past year. My siblings and I looked at several memory care homes and Avita stood out right from the beginning. The staff are all so welcoming and caring. The people who works there whether directly with the clients or not will go out of their way to assist any need a client or family may need. Avita is immaculate. My Mom has gone on so many outings and it’s no problem she is in a wheelchair, she is accommodated. Avita has so many events for the clients, music, history talks, dances ,family nights, art, nail-care hairdressers, there is always something going on.
Bringing my Mom to Avita was a big decision however we feel so blessed to have found it.

I’ve been meaning to write this for a few months. My dad was at Avita last year, and although his stay was short, we were very happy with the overall experience. His apartment was modern and clean, the staff were kind and attentive, and the food was excellent. Meals and snacks were truly his favorite part of the day. I visit many memory care communities and Avita Needham is among the best of them all! I have the pleasure of visiting Avita of Needham as a performer, and I’m always struck by how kind, gracious, and professional the staff are. There’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere that’s consistent every time I come.

The residents are clearly treated with great care. They are always clean, well-kempt, healthy, and engaged. It’s evident that their well-being is a top priority and that the staff take pride in what they do.

Jazzmine, the Activities Director, is wonderful to work with. She genuinely cares about creating meaningful experiences for the residents and puts a lot of thought into the enrichment programming. Her commitment is easy to see and it sets a positive tone for the whole team.

There seems to be very little turnover among the staff, which says a lot about the work environment. People enjoy being there, and that stability makes a real difference in the level of care and consistency the residents receive.

Avita of Needham is a special place, and it’s always a joy to be part of what they’re doing.

Avita has been incredibly welcoming to the students of St. Sebastian's School who volunteer there.

The environment created by the dedicated and caring staff is an incredible of model of for young people of compassion and empathy.

My mother has been a resident at Avita for over a year now. From the moment we toured Avita and met the care team we knew this was the place for our Mom. The decision to transition a cherished family member from independent living to an assisted living environment is never an easy decision but knowing what Avita could offer for our mother made the decision a little easier. Since moving to Avita our mother has flourished. She has made some wonderful friendships with other residents as well as members of the Avita care team. Avita provides a nice mix of onsite and offsite activities as well as some downtime for residents to relax with family and friends. We also enjoy the events Avita has that bring in various musicians to perform for residents and their families. We have met some lovely people at Avita and we appreciate the care they provide to all of their residents and family.
