Make sure to check the year on your tassel when you purchase through Sac State. I did not look at my tassel because I thought they would be able to accurately hand out tassels. I received 2020 on my tassel but did not notice until after walking when someone pointed it out to me. I reached out and requested an exchange or refund but since commencement has happened they refused me a refund or an exchange. I understand that it is on me to check what I receive but to just get the response "we can't help you but if you reached out before commencement we would have been able to assist" is frustrating when they obviously were able to aquire 2020 tassels after the year 2020.

Attempting to pick up honor cords through ASI was an absolute train wreck.
Living over an hour away, it was a struggle to make it to their office by the 4:30 pm. I left work early and rushed over but was unfortunately 6 minutes late. When I called to see if it was a possibility for one staff member to stay, Alexis told me no. While this was frustrating after driving 82 miles, I understood.
I asked if it was possible for my husband to retrieve the cord, as he had a final on campus that week. Alexis said he could, as long as I ordered the cord through a link sent on the eligibility verification email and sent my husband with the order number. Unfortunately, ASI did not send a link for the website. I emailed again the next day to request clarification on the process. Jessica then said the website was down and that my husband could come to the office to pick up my cord, as long as he had my student ID. Okay, great.
My husband arrived with my student ID and was treated with hostility. When he approached the desk, the staff were glued to their phone screens and didn't even look up when saying hello. He explained why he was there and was told "we don't do that."
After verifying all information I have just explained, they kept repeating that they don't let partners pick up cords.
Luckily, my husband is consistent and was able to leave the office with my cord. But the entire situation was incredibly frustrating.
After working my butt off to maintain a 4.0, these employees were happy to let me walk without a cord.
I'm disappointed with the ASI department and hope to never work with them again. They should not be adding stress to students during an already stressful time.

The ASI Children's Center at Sac State is an absolute blessing. My kids love going to school, love their teachers, have made friends and it has given me the opportunity to finish my degree. Thank you to all that work there.

CSUS is one of the great achievements of humanity... it is not the beauty of the Campus that makes CSUS such a wonderful place... but the people who have spent their entire lives honing a gift of knowledge that they can share with those around them... ...what a true joy to have the opportunity to study and make ones self acceptable according to the ways of life... for there has never been a time when knowledge was not the quintessential remedy to the consequences that accompany this thing that we call life... for all those who want to become a "solution" to one of our shared common problems... "this" is the place where one can put forth the efforts to prepare themselves for that moment in the future when someone of less fortunes might need you...
