👍 Reviews of Aspen Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center

When you’re paying memory care prices, your loved one’s facility should feel like an extension of the family, and Aspen Ridge really hits that mark. I recently moved my mother to Aspen Ridge after one year in care at another facility and her transition has been as positive as it can be. Communication with the care team is excellent (such an asset to family members out of town) and it is evident that the staff is passionate about helping the memory care population. I love the home-like atmosphere and abundance of activities (that sometimes have to be pretty creative) to keep my high-functioning mom busy. I’m fortunate to have found such a wonderful place for her.

What a curious set of reviews. All but four assign five stars. One of these four I encountered personally at Aspen Ridge. That review classifies as “sour grapes,” considering the fact that this person was there for a very short time, whose job performance diminished from adequate, to very poor. Three of the low reviews provide no, or insufficient, information to explain the rating, which leads me to find them useless, and disregard them entirely. The one that does provide an explanation complains about staff attitudes and was written six years ago. Nearly the entire staff at Aspen Ridge turned-over in the fall of 2022, much to the chagrin of my family and myself. But we decided to let the new people get their bearings before putting my wife through the trauma of moving. We have found the newer staff to be friendly, concerned about residents’ well-being and comfort, willing to listen to our concerns and requests and to make changes as possible, and committed to the mission of memory care. We have been happy and impressed with the care my wife receives. It’s critical to recognize that working in a memory-care facility requires characteristics in a combination that few people have: Patience, strong sense of empathy, unconditional positive regard for others combined with the strength to cope with frequent loss of personal relationships, commitment to helping the disabled, acceptance of occasional inherent unpleasantness, strong sense of self, and finding personal affirmation in helping others, just to name a few. The frontline caregivers at Aspen Ridge exhibit these in abundance. Unfortunately, these are difficult to assess in hiring, so encountering someone who’s realizing they’re not up to the job can result in an unpleasant interaction, creating an erroneous impression. In summary, my family and I believe my wife is in the best place she could possibly be, which I’m sad to say means not living at home.

As a POA to a memory challenged diabetic senior on insulin and her spouse of declining health, the options for finding a reputable assisted living facility was no easy feat. Due to unforeseen circumstances, time was of the essence. The managerial staff were beyond compassionate, understanding and professional to the point of utter trust.

I would desire for myself, loved one or friend to live their latter days on this earth at this first class facility.

I can't sufficently thank the admistrative staff for their compassion, kind words of encouragement. I cannot adequately express my gratitude.

Aspen Ridge has the most professional group of staff and managers I've encountered in a very long time. I'm comfortable leaving my wife in good hands when it's time for me to leave after a visit with my wife. I'm glad we have such a facility available to us in the valley.

I have been a nurse for almost 26 years and most of my experience has been in Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities. I have seen both good and bad facilities and I have seen EXCELLENT, which is the category that Aspen Ridge is placed. The residents here are engaged and happy! Their needs are met by trained staff who are able to take the time to meet every need emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Each resident's life story is important at Aspen Ridge and is incorporated in their daily interactions, allowing them to have quality interactions and meaning to their lives. Each Resident's medical needs are attended to immediately by a highly trained nursing staff, and families are always in the loop regarding their loved ones care. I cannot say enough praise to Aspen Ridge for their dedication to excellence in resident care.

I can't speak highly enough of the care at Aspen Ridge. From the the first moment, the level of care exceeded any of the other facilities where my father had been previously. No matter who I spoke with, they always knew where Dad was and what he was up to. They kept him active and did not allow him to wither away forgotten in the corner. When end of life came, staff members were known to come in on their day off the check on Dad. It felt like family. You won't be disappointed with the care your loved one will receive.

Aspen Ridge is suppose to be a nursing home for people that can no longer take care of themselves they are suppose to make the families of their loved ones feel at ease. We'll they do not they call you everyday they threaten to kick your loved ones out they send them to the hospital because they refused their medications once. I have been in Healthcare for 13 years I actually worked for aspen Ridge when I first started off and we never treated our clients like they do now. If you don't want to take care of people and they are not in the best interest of you then you should find a new career this is so sad that they treat innocent people that can't help them selves with such disrespect.
