Arboretum is a hidden gem! The staff told us they've been open for about a year now. They also go beyond serving great coffee by providing meaningful opportunities for immigrants to integrate into the community by offering them a place to work and learn the language and culture. The staff is incredibly kind and patient, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. With both indoor and outdoor seating right by the train tracks, it’s the perfect spot to relax and watch the world go by. Their coffee is excellent, and their unique mugs add a charming touch to the experience.

Non-profit coffee shop with a mission! I enjoyed a pour over coffee, and picked up an iced matcha for my daughter. They were delicious!

What an incredible spot. The atmosphere is fantastic. The drinks were spot on. And their mission is incredible. I loved seeing that the gentleman taking our order was being given great training by another employee. He was also learning English, and doing such a great job. He had a wonderful attitude and really made my day.

Thank you to Arboretum for being a light in this world and offering our fellow humans a chance to build a great life. I really can’t put into words how deeply touched I am by your mission.

Went by this coffee shop today and it is so beautiful (10/10 on the coffee shop vibe!) and calming inside and the coffee is delicious! Plenty of seating as well as games and kids activities. They also have very good pastries and sandwiches. I also love being able to support and meet refugees who have bravely come here looking for a new start for them and their families. It's such a simple and easy way for me to help put some good out into the world and I will definitely be coming here again!

Vibe was an 11/10. Let's start...

Seating: the options are that of my coffee shop dreams. High tops, low tops, couches, indoor/outdoor, individual lounge chairs, COMFY barstools, and even a chess table for two.
A coffee shop will have my heart if it offers a lovely seat to work at and Arboretum Coffee exceeds this.

Caffeine: I opted for the Chai as recommended by my barista (this was her go-to drink) and it was lovely. It had the perfect amount of spice. Not overly steamed and could be enjoyed right away. She was very sweet and personable.

Community: as a "coffee shop that empowers refugees and immigrants bridging communities and offering paid holistic apprenticeships programs" each purchase plays a meaningful part in their mission. Good people are doing good things. This shop also carries a lot of local artwork for purchase.

Wifi: is available but they also have a handful of puzzles and games (Rummikub, UNO, etc)

Tables and floors are very clean. Lots of windows and natural light. Plants are thriving and they have reserved parking.

Love the atmosphere! Very calm and classy. My breve and breakfast sandwich were both perfect! I also appreciate the dinosaur coloring book and games that were available for little ones.

Can’t say enough good things about Arboretum Coffee! 🩵I moved across the street and now this is my go to coffee shop pretty much everyday haha. I’m a remote worker so I need to work elsewhere, and the atmosphere here is so peaceful and cute inside. They have tasty food/drinks, cozy chairs, tons of outlets (even one outside) chill music and sweet workers. Love the option to sit outside too (either sun or shade). Huge plus is they don’t charge extra for non-dairy milk like every other coffee shop does. 😝The owner is awesome as well and she is constantly experimenting new recipes and letting their customers try. They have many vegan options as well and make tons of things in house including their coffee syrups. They give 10% off for students and cyclists and their WiFi is always speedy. They put on sweet events like coffee tastings and have a nice rewards program. I love their matcha, caramel latte, chia pudding, sandwiches, and croissants. Only downside is the loud train that passes by once in a while, but that’s the perk of being in a good location (off the main bike route too). But I can always find a spot. 😊Try this place out!! They deserve it and I know you’ll fall in love with it too ☕️

LOVE this coffee joint! I was so glad to discover this after a colleague recommended meeting here. The drinks are incredible and the chia seed pudding is on point! Not only is it a cozy spot with great seating, but you can also hear each other even when it’s busy. The other thing that impresses me is their reasonable prices - I should say shockingly reasonable prices. The cherry on top is their fantastic mission.
