This is the local food bank. You register with a piece of mail, valid I d, social security card, a food stamp letter with your monthly amount if you have one in order to get assistance. If you don't have these still go and see what options there are. It takes about 15 minutes to register. They have a board that tells you how many special food items you can get in both Spanish and English. They also have USDA distribution. They do coats for the cold, housing repair assistance if you qualify, they have clothing, household linens, blankets, and they have loads of information about assistance in the neighborhood. They accept donations if goods at the old rail station and donations of any denomination at the main location. They no longer do wood I am sorry to say. They are staffed by very friendly and helpful people. Hours are Monday 10a to 1 p. Tuesday and Thursday 10 til 4. They close for lunch from 12 to 1. You can visit once a month.
