I used Apexcare for the care of my Mother who was 88 years old and experiencing mobility problems. She required help transferring from her chair and or bed to use her walker and then eventually to her scooter.
She needed help with dressing, bathing, showering, grooming, diabetic meals and medication. The Case Manager was very informative and helped us with the in home care process after being in a rehabilitation facility. After getting the caregiver she continued to stay in contact and would stop by to check on my mother. If we ever had a concern she was right there to take care of it. The caregiver was excellent in all aspects of Mom's care needs. In addition to what I mentioned above she cooked, and helped with exercises. My mother and I had full confidence in her abilities. She was trustworthy, dependable, and had a very loving personality.
When my mother needed 24 hour care we decided to move her to an assisted living facility. Our case manager came forth and assisted in finding the perfect place for Mom. She took us to many facilities and arranged for tours and a meal at each place. We appreciated the extra effort. It made the transition less stressful and we are very thankful.
I would highly refer Apexcare to any family in need of home care or facility placement.
