If you love live music, Animas City Theater is a perfect venue. It's small enough that you're close to the stage no matter where you are. The balcony offers some limited seating with great views of the stage.

Drinks are reasonably priced and the bar staff are pretty good for a concert venue.

One area the theater could improve is a coat check. They offer a coat rack - tucked in an unobserved and unloved corner that seems more like a place you leave your coat to get stolen than to pick it up later. If you go to the Animas, plan on keeping your coat with you.

The venue is a little grubby but it's a concert venue open seven nights a week.

This is amazing venue. It would be really great if the venue would reduce waste by adding a water fountain or allow you to bring in your own water bottles.

The amount of recyclable products that were just thrown away in the trash is really pointless. Almost everything they serve is recyclable.

@Management, please consider reducing the waste, it would help your staff deal with less trash and clean up at the end of the events. 🙏🏽

Fun live music venue in downtown Durango, with great sound, friendly staff, efficient bars, and a balcony with a couple of seats. Fits about 250 people, is general admission, and usually never difficult to find a good spot. Lots of good music comes through here.

Incredible small venue. Ive gone to shows of bands I wouldnt seek out that were some of the best Ive ever gone to. I ADORE this venue.

One of Durangos best music venues. Even though the place can seem small at first, it's a great place to catch live music! They ha e two bars and they often show independent films. The staff is awesome and super friendly! If you have tickets for an upcoming show or are looking for a great place to spend a night out on the town, this is your spot.

Love, love, love this theater. It's a great asset to our small town entertainment scene! I love the music events I've been to, because the size makes everything feel more intimate and personal. No matter where you sit, it feels like a front row experience! The staff is great, and there is always a friendly face to greet you at the door! I also have the pleasure of performing here multiple times per week this summer, as the acrobat and aerialist, for the Mysto's Really Big Magic Show. I've performed on alot of stages, and this place will always have a place in my heart! Thanks for bringing so much joy to the community!

Excellent venue and excellent music! This place has saved my dancing soul for many years! And over the 20+ years that I’ve been enjoying this establishment I have had 100% positive staff interaction. That says a lot about a business. Happy employees make happy customers and then you throw in some great music and beer and you’ve got the perfect recipe! Does anybody remember that band Recipe?
