The staff has been helpfull and understanding at all times. Thank you for your help and being a safe place to go to. The men and woman that work are heroes. There's structure and order that helps people get back on their feet. God bless.

Air conditioning in the men's dorm could be improved. Other than that it's a great emergency shelter that aids the homeless with compassion. They're very caring and professional with their gospel program and shelter.

The Anchorage Gospel Rescue mission has changed my life, I ended up there many years ago, I was homeless and and just stopped drinking alcohol only days before going in. There men's program is wonderful and can help change your mind set through biblical teachings. The day to day shelter feeds many homeless. They also have a clothing room open on Monday evenings. Sleep up to 60 men a night who can also shower and clean them selfs up. Chapel is every evening at 7:30pm. It truly is a remarkable place.

The Anchorage Rescue Mission is primarily a "male" shelter/work organization.. The "programmers" treat the homeless, on the street people, like trash. Plus a requirement to live there overnight is church service attenece you become a captured audience for the "gospel: sprakers that come there every night. In addition the "chapel" environment is horrible;, it is like a torure chamber with harsh lights and horrible seating. It remids me of how they treated Christ, the privegled people. It needs REGULATIONS from local stste and federal levels but they are "PRIBATE" and Do not accept government help like funding so they are not held accountable for their programs and actions.

These people are so wonderful! I didn't feel any type of judgment or discrimination whatsoever by all the workers I dealt with. They had exactly what I needed and what I had asked for!! They seem to genuinely care and not just there for a paycheck! I tell everybody I know even strangers about this beautiful place!! Great job and keep up the beautiful work you all do thank you and God bless

Great food great workers. Amazing deserts. Has breakfast and dinner free. Free clothes. Lot of generous donations. They have over night room for elders handy cap and homeless. They do what ever they cant help with chores around the church in return. No drugs or alcohol aloud.

I have experience volunteering at the Tudar Resque Mission in the past as well as knowing others who were there as volunteers and clients. I recently connected with someone who called me from there, reminding me of the help the offer so many!!! Grateful for there love...in Jesus name amen

Generally, it's a great and clean place with extraordinary volunteering staff members. It serves hot breakfast, lunch snacks and dinner for free, but their "30 days" and having to "sleep on a different bed each night" (if you're NOT a "permanent" volunteer member) policies aren't listed on their screening form if I understood it well.
I think the policy should inform every new wonderer onto their premises who needs just a dry, warm and safe place for either a night or just some few days to get moving on with life.
Their policies omit the consumers' right to know transparency law.
One of the experiences i learned from the property is the simplicity of the manager, Mr Shane would find a chance to answer your question(s) whenever you asked to meet with him!
