Very informative and interactive. The volunteer at the front desk was very knowledgeable. Lady at the gift shop was very helpful. Overall a great museum. The only downside was one employee in the James Webb area sitting on her phone playing a game loud enough that you could hear it throughout the back of the museum.

Associated with the Smithsonian, excellent opportunity to educate yourself and children about science and technology with Tennessee being in the lead! From the world first operational fission reactor, to the previously largest super computer, Oak Ridge has left it's mark on technology and continues to reinvent itself. Storing America's most precious heavy metals, for our future energy requirements, and charting medical breakthroughs that save lives.

Manhattan Project History, town of 75,000 that did not exist in 1940, is established and growing by 1943!

Went for our first time today on the bus tour. What they presented was very interesting, however, not enough time at the stops to look around. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but a bit too demanding. Limiting our time at stops and bathroom breaks. He was just not very approachable What we did see was very interesting. I don’t know if I’d go again.

It's one of my favorite places in the area. There is so much interesting info you can gather. The presentations in the lab are interesting, too. For adults, it takes about 2 hours to really dig into the exhibits. I had taken many visitors there, but I always find something new to discover myself as well.
