I am almost WEEKLY getting calls from this Agency about returning to work and Social Security, however I am NOT a client of them nor am I able to work due to multiple medical conditions. Despite being placed on the Social Security Return to Work Program's AND Alta's internal DO NOT CONTACT Listing the calls have NOT STOPPED! Always given the same sop story, apologies, and promises to not attempt contacting me again yet they still do it. Does it take legal or Congressional action to force this agency to do the legally correct behavior? Definitely NOT an agency I would be able to recommend that anyone deal with at all.

My son has been part of the regional center for three years. There is not one thing the original center helps us with. We are always signing the papers that they need. That is the only time they contact me. My son is legally blind and cannot get glasses to fit him that he NEEDS. He has been diagnose legally blind since he was 6 months old. He seven now. I've been asking the reginal center for over a year to help me with glasses with No success. All I get is a run around call the insurance they say. If it was that easy my son would have already had glasses. My son has a rare gentic condition. I cannot say one thing that Alta to help me with Alta helps me 100%, other than sign there papers to "keep getting services" In my eyes, it's to keep getting a paycheck for him being on their case load. Even though they do not do nothing for him.

Let's just say they need an entire overhaul! The bullying, the condescending methods of communication, the attitudes of some of the employees, the gaslighting, intentional withholding of information, intentional acts causing drops in service, neglect, etc. I won't even go into the other known conduct, waste, lack of knowledge and processes. This trial and error mess that they do - needs DDS and the Whistleblower process. While there are a few employees (maybe 3) who seem to be genuine and helpful, the majority-not so much. I finally reached out to a few former staff and some parents who have been in their caseload for years and they all agree with the observations that I am beginning to see become more evident. Really sad. I am hoping things turn around because if not...

My son has a really awesome service coordinator there at Alta regional Kim Graham. She is able to sign in American Sign Language and really takes time to listen to what my son wants and also explains things in a way that I can actually support my son getting services I’m so glad that Alta regional has support services for people with disabilities as well.

Appreciate these guys for the hard work they do,
I wish I could give five stars but the security team they hire - allied universal which is usually very friendly and outgoing, even made friends with a couple of the security patrol, but every now and then they hire a patrol guard who is a little aggressive, not too talkative and ask what your business is there, which isn't an issue. I do realize they have a job to do and are not there to make friends.. but last night a patrol man pull into the lot and start threatening to attempt physical harm to me, which also isn't a problem to me. I just wanted to make this review so the parents of special needs children have a chance of deescalating a negative encounter with any of the patrol guards and being able to walk away unharmed and unthreated. The security guard in question carried himself to make me believe he is armed and would rather use fatal repercussions then rather get law enforcement involved. The guard refuse to state his name and unfortunately it happened so fast I was not able to get any footage of the incident on tape so at this time i will not be filing a police report or will not be seeking legality till further engagements. I just ask Alta California's clients to mind their p's and q's and be safe coming here, Thank you.

They used to be good but they've been losing workers cause higher ups won't give services needed so families call and complain to workers since higher ups are so wealthy they don't understand how their clientele feels one of the providers didn't notify me or my worker about a problem instead contact owner of service saying of change but no one knew and I requested funding for a thearpy which they considered then declined but said they'd pay for me to create a home program which I don't know if I'll remember to do them. My doc who has been brainwashed by big pharmaceutical industry wouldn't vouch that I'd get long term results which I have seen at a different clinic I went to but closed

This facility promised up front to support family connections and after placement did everything possible to interfere, retaliated and even interfered with the ward obtaining basic needs like dental and medical care. They even did not provide counseling but took his SSI check pocketing it and providing as few services as possible.
