This food bank used to be good.. I've just recently been back here 2 times now, and I'm seriously disappointed and pissed that I wasted the time and gas. There used to be a note on my file for severe food allergies..2 weeks I got frozen fish. Exactly what should have been listed as an allergy. And the first time I went, didn't get any fresh fruit out vegetables. Just some expired little milk cartons. This week, they gave me a lost of bread that was completely molded over.. will not ever go back. Do better Adams county..

Just wondering 🤔 why some people leave with 2 and 3 carts 🛒 filled with eggs milk and fresh vegetables and others leave with carts that have frozen pizzas and energy drinks what’s up with that it doesn’t seem fair that some get more than others at the exact same time.

Great place for a little extra food when you need it. They are by far faster than most food banks in the Denver area.

*REMEMBER, BRING YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE OR ID, ALSO BRING PROOF OF RESIDENCY FOR ADAMS COUNTY IF YOUR ID DOES NOT HAVE ADAMS COUNTY ADDRESS*
This was a new experience for me. I have never in my life been in a position where I needed to access a food bank or government or non-profit help. With everything in life there's only one guarantee and that's change... That's right I said,
CHANGE...
I arrived and the line had already been formed I was probably 30th So I took my position and waited my turn...
You must be watchful because regulars think that their time is more valuable than yours. With this being said be watchful for people jumping ahead of you coming out of nowhere and taking their place in front. I say this, because it happened twice to me. As it was my first time I didn't say anything. But the best advice I can give is stay close to the person in front of you so it doesn't happen.
It was my time to be helped at the counter when it was discovered it was my first time they sent me to another line where I had to fill out a very simple one page form. And this was to validate my needs and get Logged into their system.
The volunteer was very nice and efficiently handled the necessary steps to get me the expected help. When she finished she said go back outside I will process your paperwork and soon just listen for your name as someone will come out with a cart and your food help. When you get your cart, go to your vehicle unload you're goods, return the cart and then enter door 3 to receive your ID card for us for future use.
I returned outside and watched the process unfold. After about 15-20 minutes a man walked out pushing a cart and called my name.
I received several canned goods, a fresh quart of milk, a few frozen items, fresh fruit, single serve crackers individually wrapped, some frozen halibut steaks, a pound of frozen hamburger meat, pound of chorizo taco meat and several other items.
I asked myself is this helpful?
Most definitely, was it needed... If it wasn't I wouldn't have been here.
I return to my vehicle with the cart, unloaded, return their cart to the front, enter door 3, where I received my new ID for Adams County Food Bank.
I was now done and able to leave... Mission accomplished and now back home.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE NEEDED ASSISTANCE!!!

Really REALLY fresh food, garden grown carrots, potatoes, onions...Wondering why the older folks are pushing the heavy carts out and andthe young guys are doing light work. Switch it up.

This place is always a nightmare to visit. As much as the help is appreciated they make it so unpleasant to get it. First, expect to wait an hour no matter what. If you get there a half an hour before they open there will be a line long enough that you are waiting an hour.

Secondly, the building is located in such a place that you have no shade. You have to simply stand outside in the elements lined up against the building. So you need sunscreen and/or an umbrella to avoid getting sunburned during your wait. They have no "waiting area" inside, so if you have to bring your young child or baby like me then don't expect any special treatment; your kid is waiting in the elements with you. So be prepared with weather-appropriate clothing. Then when you do get inside to speak with someone the area is tiny and crowded and loud. You have to get the people working to repeat themselves often because you can't hardly hear them.

Finally, their whole system is inconvenient, annoying and confusing. Having to go into one door to let them know your there, then back outside to wait for your food, thrn returning the cart in a VERY SPECIFIC SPOT or they get annoyed with you, then go into ANOTHER door afterward to pick up your id, all while navigating around and throw and entire mess of people all dealing with the same frustrating process. It would make so much more sense if they took people's ID's and phone numbers and then let them wait in their car and then CALLED them when their food was ready for them; anyone without a cellphone then could wait in line. This would make it SO much easier on their clientele.

Obviously, if you truly need food help then this place is worth visiting, but BARELY. Go to another food bank if you have that option.
