Active Church in San Luis Obispo is an incredible place to grow in faith and community! Pastors Adam and Stacy Magana lead with so much love, care, and authenticity for God. Pastor Adam’s messages are always engaging, often bringing humor that makes learning about God both relatable and inspiring.

The church is welcoming, family-friendly, and always current with the times while staying rooted in biblical truth. I especially love seeing the Cal Poly students getting involved it brings such great energy! If you’re looking for a church that feels like home, where you’ll be encouraged and challenged in your faith, Active Church is the place to be. Highly recommend!

We have lived on the central coast for almost 7 years and we have been to many churches in the area. Having a church my kids like going to was important as well as for us to feel connected. I am SO thankful to have found Active Church. We have been attending Active for almost two years and we love it!! From the first day we walked through the doors we felt connected and instantly joined a life group. After going through 2020, I am so thankful God provided our family with a community of amazing people that come along side of us. God is doing big things there!!! Highly recommend Active and everyone that fills the Fremont every week!

God is using Active Church to change me in so many incredible, life-giving ways. With an emphasis on Christ, life groups, serving, community, giving and loving out of the overflow- this church gave me the family, support, and purpose I had been missing (and searching for), for years. I was in a dark, insecure, and lonely place. But I found a family in Active that cares and loves so intentionally, they radiated encouragement and brought me to a place of strength, hope, and light.

The joy in the atmosphere and contagious smiles are about so much more than a happy feeling on Sundays, but a daily orientation around Jesus that truly makes a difference. I knew from the happy tears I cried over a year ago, God brought me to a place of challenge and empowerment where I would learn to love myself and others well. And it has done exactly that.

You will find open hearts, open doors, friendly and humble serve teams who go the extra mile, genuine and loving pastors and leaders, incredible kids care, deep and real life groups, amazing worship, homeless ministries and recovery ministries, encouraging sermons with helpful bullet slides, heartfelt prayer, and people everywhere who just really really want to love well, to the best of their ability, through every detail they possibly can. I've never experienced a church like this before- it's truly amazing.

I am so excited for all the beautiful and excellent ways Active will continue to impact myself, others, and the community.

I have been attending consistently since July of 2020 and am so thankful I get to call this church home. Besides the amazing worship and preaching, one thing that really stuck out to me was the people. Everyone has such a genuine interest in getting to know you and making you feel comfortable. Being a people who truly strive to love like Jesus is really important for a church and something that Active does exceptionally! Would love to see you there on a Sunday!

I had been looking for a church that was welcoming and cutting edge with interactive worship for several years before Active Church opened. I have been going for 2 years and have been so impressed with the sense of community and just how everyone has been so welcoming. It’s one of the standouts of Active. 20% of the church’s members are on the serve team and it’s because we are so proud of our church and what it represents to the community. I am now a Sunday school teacher, I lead a life group and serve on the worship team. I’m proud to belong to Active Church!
