Both my daughters have played club volleyball for the last 8 years. We started at Academy and also have played at a number of other clubs on the peninsula over the years as well. We came back to Academy because it has always felt like home to us. The quality of the teams have also been good — my youngest daughter’s team has earned a bid to go to Nationals three times while at Academy.

They have amazing coaches as well as International coaches with impeccable resumes. Daniele, the Club Owner/Director has always been accessible when we have questions and concerns.

They offer more benefits than of the other clubs we’ve been on. They have APL (Athletic Performance Lab) which is conditioning and weights already included in the club dues. They have cameras on each court so you can watch practice at home if you should want.

I think Academy has just gotten better each year. I can’t recommend this club enough.

My daughter had the greatest experience at Academy. In her two years she developed her skills and strength tremendously. That is a credit to my daughter, her coaches, and the club. We will miss Academy, but it is because of them that my daughter will be playing volleyball in college.

My daughter played for a 12-1s team for another club for the 2021-2022 season. It was a great team but she only played 40-50% the entire season. We decided to switch to Academy for the 2022-2023 (13s) season and tried out for HP1 and HP2 and landed on the HP2 team. We are so happy that our daughter was throughly assessed during the Academy tryout process. Then given a chance to try out for both levels and placed where she should be. We are grateful that we had a chance to be under Coach Leo's coaching and guidance. He gave her a chance to play way more than she ever had and we didn't even know she was a setter until this year. So, thank you to Coach Leo and Academy family for a great season. It was definitely a game changer for all of us!

We feel very lucky to be part of the Academy family. My son who plays for the 13U HP team has improved so much on the court and he loves being with his teammates and supportive coaches. All the families are super nice and supportive of each other! The APL training is a huge bonus that other clubs don’t have. We are very happy here and have nothing but great things to share about this program!! Highly recommend to enroll your son or daughter in a clinic, camp or team!! GO ACADEMY!! 🥳

After being with and experiencing other clubs in the area, Academy is the BEST in the BAY! They have teams and coaches for all levels. We played on the National team and were very impressed with the level of coaching and the level of play. The director is very personable and hands on with the club. All the coaches are professional and well versed in not just playing but also coaching volleyball. I highly recommend this club! It’s home location at Sports House has food and drinks and WiFi if you live far and have to wait for your kid.

Best is to have your kid give Academy a try with VB clinics/camps and use those opportunities to come talk to the coaches. Our daughter started with Academy clinics and camps, which she really liked. This year, she joined a Power League 13HP team and she made great progress. She really likes her coach and her team. The team performed really well and they ended up qualifying for the USAV Junior Nationals. Overall, it's a very well run, well organized VB club and we love the community of parents there. Go Academy!

We can highly recommend Academy of Volleyball! Since joining Academy 1.5 years ago, our son has dramatically improved his skills and enthusiasm for the sport. The club's coaching staff are all experienced professionals with a good balance of strength (Academy Performance Lab) and skill training while keeping it fun for the boys. There is a large focus on team spirit, attitude and camaraderie, while also being highly competitive. As parents we love to watch our boys compete but we have also created new friendships while on the road for tournaments. We just returned from our family summer vacation and our son cannot wait to get back on the volleyball court!

We have two boys that have been with Academy for 2 years and we love being members of the Academy family. The coaching staff continues to grow more impressive and the improvements in skill as well as sportsmanship, etc. is noticeable compared to past experiences at other clubs. Even more importantly, the boys have made great friends in their teammates that will last long after their volleyball careers are over and we appreciate all of the team events that Academy has hosted to encourage this bonding. Can't wait for the upcoming season!
