Discovering the Able Kids Foundation (AKF) has been a transformative experience for our family. From the initial phone call, I was met with warmth and professionalism that immediately put me at ease. The conversation was not only delightful but also incredibly informative, addressing all my queries and seamlessly scheduling an evaluation for my child. Their proactive approach, sending all necessary forms via email ahead of the appointment, allowed for a smooth and prepared start.

The AKF facility was a breeze to locate, welcoming us into a small, cozy lobby that felt like a comforting embrace. Miss Hillary was a beacon of kindness and expertise, guiding my child through the evaluation with such care that she emerged beaming with joy. The post-evaluation discussion was equally impressive, conducted in a child-friendly manner that resonated positively with my kiddo, turning the entire experience into a celebration of her unique self.

Miss Hillary’s ability to convey her findings with clarity and empathy made the conversation a treasure trove of insights and validation. It was a heartening affirmation that my parental instincts were right on track. Her exceptional attention to detail and commitment to ensuring my child’s comprehension of the process were truly outstanding.

Leaving AKF, we felt a surge of relief and happiness, armed with a diagnosis, practical solutions, and a profound sense of validation. Our spirits were so uplifted that we capped off the day with playful moments at the park directly across the street.

I am endlessly grateful for the Able Kids Foundation and cannot commend them enough. Their dedication and expertise are invaluable, making us feel incredibly fortunate to have such a resource in our lives.

The Able Kids Foundation is where my daughter was officially diagnosed with Central Auditory Processing Disorder. My husband and I had suspected she had this for years, we had seen three doctors multiple times who said she did not have CAPD. The diagnosis, support, and lastly her special fitted filter from Able Kids have been life changing for her. I would recommend Able Kids over and over, they are amazing. I love that every phone call I have ever made to them, I have spoken to a doctor and they are so patient with all my questions.

I had no idea what that meant - honestly it sounded made up - but sure I’ll try a little piece of plastic over medication any day.

Able Kids is a wonderful foundation. I was diagnosed with CAPD as a young child. Wasn't until I was 27 that I found a place who understood this disorder. The filter has changed my life for the better!

After ~3 hours of testing, it was determined that I had a noticeable difference in hearing and understanding verble comments between both ears. The session, ultimately resulted in the forming of a mold for my left ear for a fitted, dense foam insert. This insert will allow equal hearing response between both ears. I was impressed with the data obtained from testing showing hearing differences based on timing lag between both ears.
