This place is Eden on Earth for all the neglected & abandoned animals that Leo Grillo & his staff care for. Do your research people, not just the websites or documentaries, or all the news stories and interviews with other celebrities speaking out to Leo Grillo's character, or even the amazing aerial photography of the D.E.L.T.A sanctuary itself, but look at their tax records that are available, easy as any Search, Grillo DOES NOT nor HAS not taken any compensation in 45 yrs!!! This non-profit is a second chance for animals to live out a healthy and peaceful life, never worrying about food or shelter, plus 2 vet clinics on the sanctuary, best of all, they will never be neglected & abandoned again. This is a life passion and labor of love for Grillo, his family, and his staff. If their is someone has a problem with that, then u have to question the source...J/S...

This is a wonderful not for profit rescue.
They are dedicated and loving to these animals and let them spend their lives there instead of being euthanized or being adopted into another potentially unsafe environment. As far as I know they do not adopt out which is safer for these animals many of whom were just abandoned or have been hurt in their past.
They take in and love care for these animals when their owners did not.
They have saved so many animals and I would certainly recommend them to anyone if you’re looking to donate to a charity that does wonderful work every single day of the year.

A very loving and as named, dedicated facility to a number of animals in need of love and a forever home. Do the right thing and rescue a dog by supporting facilities like these and dogs in need instead of greedy careless breeders.

One of the oldest and largest No Kill Animal Sanctuaries in the world. These animals were dumped and left for dead in the forest. They have two animal hospitals on site. They do not adopt to the public, because there are too many animals needing home that these would take from. The animals are well cared for and have large living areas and animal care staff.

I have donated to DELTA for years. The hateful reviews for DELTA are wrong. These poor animals were dumped by idiotic humans to fend for themselves either in the desert or mountains. Mr. Grillo used to adopt animals out years ago but was burned by people who would either dump them again or return them to him. Typical jerks. They are safer staying where they are, being regularly fed and out of the elements.

I didn't go there. However, I've followed and donated to this rescue group for 20 years. He specifically rescues animals dumped by campers and hikers or people who just throw away dogs and cats in national forests and wilderness areas.

One totally inaccurate statement is the below review is the amount of funds raised. You can check Charity Navigator and see that the amount she states is inflated by over 100%. I also wonder how she can tell that an employee is illegal. Just by looking at them? Makes me call into question the entire review.
