My dad passed away on Saturday morning at approximately 4:09 AM 9/7/2024
I found this out yesterday afternoon 9/11/2024 when I called to check on him since I hadn’t heard from anyone.
I live 8 hours away - I was told they tried to contact me Saturday, there was no contact made? No messages?
So my dad, an AF veteran was put in a bag and placed in the morgue.
The hospital, the hospice program involved and the nursing home - none of these entities has yet to contact me.
If I hadn’t called I guess he’d lay in the morgue or be buried in a potters field without me ( last member of his family) (legal guardian) ever being notified.
What a shit show in Arkansas healthcare.
Embarrassing and unacceptable.

When I had my daughters here in 1976, the doctor performing the emergency C-section cut one of my babies back during the surgery. They had to call another doctor in to stitch her up. I was told this sometimes happens in a C-section, but later learned from doctors I saw in Memphis, this should NEVER have happened! Also, I didn’t learn that the doctor performing the C-section was drunk at the time of the C-section until a couple years ago, 2021, no wonder he cut my babies back!!’ I will not give any names. The doctor is no longer here in searcy!
It feels good to get this out of my memories!

I see there are a lot of bad experiences here but I had a positive one . My mother was 91 My mother came in with pneumonia and the Flu.
When it was decided that there was nothing else Ithey could do. They put her on hospice, but they left her on the third floor. The nurses there were so wonderful to me and took care of me as I was mourning the upcoming loss of my mother. The morning that they knew it was about that time. I got an early phone call and I headed to the hospital. The first nurse I met explain to me exactly what was going on and she went as far as asked me if she could pray with me, which I thought was beautiful. My mother had not passed at lunchtime and I didn’t want to leave her so they brought snacks and drinks up to my family which was beyond the call of duty. When my mother passed, they were there to comfort me and help in anyway they could I don’t know about the other floors at the hospital but the third floor and the nurses there were absolutely wonderful and I don’t think I could’ve gotten through it without them.

I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Both the ER and Labor and Delivery department have treated me with such disrespect. The Labor and Delivery nurses were rude and treated me like I was a liar when I told them my water had broken. The anesthesiologist messed up my epidural and caused me to suffer with terrible pain for hours. My birth experience here was very traumatic. The lab technician had no idea what she was doing and stabbed my arm (not vein) multiple times. The ER staff were also extremely disrespectful and insisted I was lying. Later, I found out I had a bad infection and needed surgery.

3 weeks ago my aunt had fallen and hit her head and had hip pain, a
She went to the ER by ambulance and was determined to have non opfractures in her pelvis and they had faile to mention she had fluid on her brain and still does ,while there waiting to go to rehab she got MRSA and pneumonia and told she experienced a mild heart attack 5days prior, and shipped her off to rehab, even tho it was obvious she was in no condition to go,after a week she was sent back to the ER by ambulance in extremely terrible health,,of the course of the next 10 days or so she kept getting worse and wasn't being told much of anything, they had ran this test and that test and put this up one end and that down the other end ,she started bleeding extremely and was losing white cells to the point of needing blood transfusions, the hospital had no idea so they said what was going on,they had to have a infectios disease specialist come help and still didnt know what was going
with her and still don't, so they say a non active ulser caused it ,and my aunt had never once had a problem with it , 5'1" and 80lbs and with only one kidney was giving so many pills and liquid antibiotics ,till she began to bleed ,and my aunt and cousin were still given run around awnsers ,but was told she be going to rehab again, soon, their is still so much more that has happen,,,, to anyone and everyone that has to go to the ER and have a stay at the hospital, if at all possible go to another hospital as I sit writing this and looking at my aunt in another rehab and bedridden, and no recollection or memory of anything that she had gone Thru or any of the little information they gave her while at the hospital ,that hospital isn't a place of healing,,it's a.place of experimetation of people over a certain age and especially the elderly, we can't begin to imagine what they do to patients with no family to keep a watchful eye, they have hurt alot of people and many have died because of their lack of education lack of communication, down to not having any knowledge of the patients and their charts,a medical license from a Cracker Jack box where it seems where hot their certificates,

This hospital is a real joke. They play with peoples lives just like they are nothing! The resident doctors are free to do as they wish with little to no oversite. they are very disrespectful and treat everyone as they are crackheads. this place overdosed me 2 times on drugs that my body rejects. I would advise anyone to not even go to this hospital if you do not have to!

I am glad to be finally writing a review for this horrible place since I couldnt before. I went to the ER here for my heart a couple years ago, I was around 16 I'd say, so a minor. After waiting HOURS, they lead me to a bed out in the middle of the room where they also had other people since the smaller, private rooms, were all filled. I would like to mention, as this is the biggest detail in what I'm about to say, I LOOK like a boy. You may think that shouldn't matter but this female doctor thought otherwise. After talking to this doctor she asked the question not many parents want to hear the answer to, my mom left after this question for privacy. After my mom leaving, the doctor lifts up my shirt fully exposing me in front of everyone. She apparently questioned my gender as it is, in my opinion, quite obvious that I am female. Also medical papers don't lie... I am BIOLOGICALLY female despite looks. I am 18 now and this has STILL stuck with me and I'm still hurt by this. That doctor lifting my shirt up without telling me, without ANY REASON, in front of everyone to see. and I should say again, I was a minor, AND she had NO REASON to lift up my shirt. ESPECIALLY in front of everyone.

This has not been the only incident, in general, these staff are rude and unprofessional.

ER? go to Sherwood Urgent Care, they're much nicer and won't violate you!
