The wait was fairly long but I got the paperwork I needed. I know this isn't totally their fault but when I applied for assistance they started going after my child's mother for child support even though I told them not to. That's minus 1 ⭐. The second -⭐ is because they try way too hard to cause you to "slip up" and forget to do some make-work task and lose your assistance. I understand they have to use some method to limit the number of people receiving assistance but it is a little ridiculous the things they make you do.

If you're disabled and trying to call you may get put on perma hold. If you get through hours later you are then met with the sound of either EXTREMELY loud TV STATIC or Possibly a massive waterfall. Tried to call and confirm documents were received. Multiple times. So I'm ready to give up hope of ever getting my benefits back.

Still listening to the roaring waterfall sound AFTER I got through. I would like to talk to a human being bug I'm being dehumanized instead.

I was making a phone call to change an appointment today for another day because I can not make it. I called twice, waited for over ten minutes each time to only get a loud scratching static and not able to hear anyone. It was like they picked up and had a vacuum cleaner running and placed the receiver next to it

I’ve turnt in everything requested just for them to say I didn’t turn in the requested information and turn my stamps off because I kept asking when was my case gone be processed. Like why wait until I have$0 income to do this! I have a child ? Than never answer the phone knowing that majority don’t have transportation or can’t leave work! This is beyond crazy!

This place does not deserve any stars whatsoever I am a disabled 58-year-old woman living on disability, and they messed with my food stamps. I turned my application in within the time limit and they canceled me and then today I get a thing in the letter in the mail, saying That I have food stamps on a card I don’t know what card they’re talking about because the card I have has two dollars on it and they’re saying I haven’t used it in 275 days well what am I gonna buy with two dollars have you tried to buy something for two dollars at the grocery store , have you my name is Jeannette Jeans and I need to speak to a supervisor or I’m going to come to the Dhs office and I’m going to speak to One. If it’s the last thing I do they’ve messed with my stuff for two years in a row, the ones Working the front desk . And this is just uncalled for they do it to the white people yes I’m white and you’re claiming everybody claims that they’re getting prejudice. Well they’re doing it to me and I’m nice but they made me mad and I demand for someone to call me check my name and call me from the DHS office because I can’t seem to get to speak to anyone and I don’t care about this computer stuff Because it is not working for me and I don’t wanna go spend the entire day down there when they pass me over when I’m sitting there in the lobby waiting to be seen someone walks in and they see them. That’s the kind of stuff the people do at your front desk at the DHS office on Washington Avenue , and if you don’t get taken care of, I’m gonna take it out with the state because I’ve had my feel of it

They mix up your information then cut/stop your support and tell you that you didn’t turn in what was needed . While the whole entire time they have miss place or mixed up your information with someone else’s. Then you can never talk to someone besides the people at the window who is mixing up the paperwork.
