I called the assisted living manager and left several detailed messages with their voice mail. I was very disappointed as I never got a return call. Would have been nice to talk with a professional and get some answers so I could make a decision for my mother but I guess you were too busy/ or I feel like my mom wasn’t worth your time. Very lacking in professionalism.

If I could give negative review I would. MIL admitted 08/26 kicked out on 09/09 told insurance would not pay anymore. She came out weaker and less able to care for herself. Was told to sign a document stating she had completed all goals of therapy!!!!! She is now back in hospital less than a week from discharge with life threatening infection in her mouth.

Some of the staff were wonderful, others were completely unhappy with their job. In the nearly two months that my father was there, it often appeared they were short of staff. Twice I saw employee conflicts, one leaving the building in tears, and another time with two in the hallway discussing staffing issues. My father, very picky, was incredibly dissatisfied. Considering the circumstances, the experience was barely par. Once Hospice of the Ozarks became involved, the service provided by Good Sam diminished substantially worse, without regard to paying the same rate. My father regularly complained of the overnight care workers, but I was never present overnight to witness. We are in a world where CNAs are not paid well for their work. Most staff in these facilities are underpaid. That still does not make it okay to provide substandard care because you are regularly short staffed. If staff was at par, I feel it was significantly poor staffing for the number of patients per section. Overall, the experience was disappointing. While this facility might be well rated in the community, I would not recommend the experience for a loved one.

My mother-in-law had to have a short-term visit after a hip surgery. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The rooms and grounds are very well maintained. The Heinz-Willet Center on campus is an incredible asset. I've participated in events for the residents, including a fashion show, trick-or-treating, and a video project. I highly recommend visiting the campus to see for yourself should you find a need for any of the services they provide.

This home is one of the better living facilities for the elderly and had a great staff plus nice rooms well lit with parking spaces for the residents. Thank you Kristy M. For your kindness and going out of your way to ensure I was comfortable while I was visiting my family member.

They can't get their act together. My father has not been given his pain meds and when it was ask about they had the nerve to say "Well his is a DNR right?" What does that have to do with them giving meds when they are suppose to? One nurse was going to give his pain meds all at once which would have been an over dose. I always had heard good things about this place but our experience has been anything but good.

I worked in the home of a woman who lived there. I've eaten in their cafeteria. This community is well maintained, clean & aesthetically pleasing. It consists of independent units, duplexes, apartments and assisted living.
