Prince George’s County Child Support Enforcement (PG CSE) has failed my daughter in every way that matters. I have had sole legal and physical custody since 2018, after a judge removed the non-custodial parent’s access due to serious concerns. And yet PG CSE continues to protect his interests, not hers.

Despite the court awarding me full custody and recognizing the harm caused by the father, PG CSE has done nothing to ensure he meets even the most basic financial obligations. They have enabled a man who has gone to extreme lengths to hide income, abuse PPP loans, and shift assets through affiliated businesses — including companies that have received millions of dollars in government contracts.

I have personally submitted detailed documentation: business records, bankruptcy filings, government payment logs, court rulings, and financial exhibits showing over a million dollars in concealed income. PG CSE ignored it all. They’ve accepted blatantly false disclosures, denied legitimate modification requests, and refused to take any enforcement action — even in the face of clear fraud. They failed to notify me of hearings, failed to respond to formal complaints, and forced me — a disabled single parent — to do their job for them.

The current support order is a joke: $400/month, based on fake financial records that PG CSE never bothered to verify — and even that is not being paid. He pays nothing. Meanwhile, the non-custodial parent continues to live comfortably, protected by layers of business manipulation and misrepresentation.

PG CSE is not simply overwhelmed — they are institutionally complicit. Their failure to act is not just harmful — it is enabling abuse. When an enforcement agency actively ignores fraud, punishes the custodial parent, and allows a deadbeat to evade responsibility, they become part of the abuse themselves.

This agency needs to be audited and investigated immediately by the Maryland Attorney General, the Inspector General, and federal authorities. What is happening in PG County is not child support enforcement — it is child support obstruction.

If you are a custodial parent in Prince George’s County, prepare to be ignored, dismissed, and left to fight alone. PG CSE does not serve families. It protects abusers.

This was my first time at this office and even though I came in on a Friday, Mr. Herring assisted me in a very professional manner. I thought my issue was going to be complicated but he explained the process and what I needed to do to get my issue resolved. Being from out of town, his assistance reassured and helped me greatly - thanks a bunch

Can never get anyone on the phone, you can't leave your number for someone to call you back. Admin services are slow and all they do is joke and play on their phones in the back. Just do a full employee sweep of the place. Get some people in there that actually care.

So, I read the reviews before I called, and I must say that I spoke to a customer service representative named Nicole.
Nicole was awesome! She was able to provide dates, times and amounts regarding my case. I pray everyone will be assisted in the way that she assisted me!

I have over 12000 in arrears taken out and the state doesn’t know where it is. How can you not know and you’re taking it out? For over a year I’ve been trying to speak to someone but all I get is letter treating arrest and taking my license. What’s going on? This is terrible.

I visited the child support office today to inquire about a payment. At first, I was told there was no information showing in the system, but Ms. Smalls took the extra time to look deeper into my situation. Thanks to her thoroughness and willingness to help, she was able to locate the correct information and provide me with the answers I needed. I really appreciate her professionalism, patience, and dedication to good customer service. Thank you, Ms. Smalls, for going the extra mile!

Wow!! Mrs. Grace took what I thought was going to be a dumpster fire experience with my case. She worked with me from start to finish to resolve my issue. And I couldn't thank her enough for the smooth and easy transition.
