Sandy is ALWAYS ready to help with any questions you have and she answers them in the most happy and cheerful voice! To me personally and to our team at ServiceMaster of Prescott she is an endless and invaluable resource for our community!

Our company joined the YCCA right before the pandemic. We were a new company and thought the membership would bring us exposure, perhaps advertising discounts, informational resources, contractor advocacy, and all the other things these organizations usually provide. Having a place where a potential client can call and obtain information on member contractors so that they can get the best fit for their project. Sadly none of these things came out of our 3 year membership to this muddled organization. As near as I can figure this is a one person organization with a few helpers for certain tasks. That one person is the laughably titled “Executive director” Sandy Griffis. On the one hand she is knowledgeable in some areas in others she is sorely lacking. She definitely plays favorites and if you are not in her inner circle, you are likely not only to not be recommended to the public who calls her. You could just as likely be badmouthed regardless of her knowledge of your company or its practices. As a business owner I am all for customer advocacy it helps keep everyone informed and honest. If you are an honest business owner you should want transparency, as a potential customer you need sound advice and information. However, our experience and the shared experiences of our industry peers show us that she won’t recommend the best company for the project and only recommend her friends and associates.
This is not serving the client or the contractor. After many conversations with her I have come to realize that Sandy and her organization are NOT a contractor advocacy or help group. It is my opinion that she thinks very little of contractors and what she does think is negative. She thinks they knowingly do illegal unlicensed work, she said and I quote, “well, most contractors are scam artists and if you aren’t running your business that way then you are the unicorn” She quoted us a price on her home and garden expo for booth space only to double the price when the billing came due. She told us we could place a free ad in her building Yavapai magazine. We paid to have the ad made from her recommended graphic designer for $540. Only to have her send us a bill for ad placement for another $600 that was never discussed. Sandy Griffis is flippant, condescending, rude, abrasive and complacent. She is so self important and narcissistic it was nearly impossible to have a positive discourse with her. We did not renew our membership for 2023 and by the grace of God may we never have any interaction with her or this useless and corrupt, dog and pony show of a contractors association.

OH MY WORD! What a pleasant experience. I just got off the phone with Sandy and she is the PERFECT representative for your organization. She is friendly, caring, efficient and organized. I am blessed to have the opportunity to know her. I am looking for someone to help me with a small construction project for my parents. Since I live out of town she was extremely helpful in matching me to the correct business that could help me. I will repost once the work have been completed but really wanted to make a post to express my gratitude for the personal touch and great service I received from Sandy at the Yavapai County Contractors Association, Inc.

Though I would gladly give a 5 to the web site, I would not do the same for Sandy. I was happy to find a contractor to fill my needs, I found Sandy abrasive and condescending. Maybe a rough week. Unfriendly and quite gruff. I have words for women like this but I wont share the here. Perhaps a vacation would sweeten her disposition. As a former construction worker, well, let's just say, her interface with the public... SUCKS!!!. Have a great day Sandy - you ain't all that and I need an apology. Signed - Not A Fan!! On the radio she comes off as a sweetheart. Believe me, she is a typical hater that thinks she rules the construction industry. I wonder err if her faux act works for everyone in Preskit. No, not for me. A very unwelcoming representative of the worst of Prescott and a Preppy to boot.

Sandy is the best! She saved us from freezing on a cold snowy weekend. Don't hesitate to call her. She even called on Saturday to check on us! It is wonderful to have a resource like her in the community.

I asked for a licensed contractor list in the City of Prescott and got a forceful response from Sandy stating I don't have time to call contractors myself and should use the one she sends me. This organization doesn't seem to be a useful contractor or homeowner resource but instead a group interested in creating panic, confusion, or dependence in order to generate membership revenue.

Sandy Griffis is awesome! I am not used to dealing with helpful/happy people in Yavapai County. Most are surly and rude but Sandy was a breath of fresh air! Thank you Sandy.

Not sure what to make of it. Sandy obviously has capabilities and talent, but she seems to decide to hate some people and love others. I'm someone she decided to hate, and I have absolutely no idea why. A very poor experience.
