Being new to the area, my husband and I did a lot of research to find the right church and we’re so glad we found Victory! From our first visit, the staff was incredibly friendly and intentional about making us feel welcome. We’ve been attending for several months now. Victory Church has helped us strengthen our faith and find a genuine sense of community.

My husband of almost 50 years passed away in 2024. It was a difficult decision but I knew I needed a new beginning so I moved out of state to the Winchester area. I visited several churches when I first arrived and although I met wonderful people, I had not found my church home.

When I first attended Victory Church, I felt like this could possibly be my new church. The music was uplifting, the message was biblically sound and the people were friendly. With that being said, I have learned over the years that it’s not wise to make important decisions based on just one experience whether it was good or bad. So, after attending for several months now and praying for guidance, I know the Lord led me here.

I have had the privilege of spending time with the pastors and leaders and I know for a fact that they love the Lord and truly care about people. The church is always thinking about and praying for their members, attenders, children, missionaries and our community. I thank Christ my Lord and Savior for all of them!

Victory Church is no longer a “possibility” for me; I finally found a church I can call home!

I gave this church a chance and went consistently for about a month and a half. I was put off by the never ending talk of money and “all the ways to give” being the bulk of the first service I went to. I went and spoke with a few people and they seemed alright at first. However, after an abysmal Easter service that was almost totally music with no sermon whatsoever, I was absolutely blown away by how rude and unwelcoming everyone around me was. They gave rude looks and sneers the entire time I was there. I ignored it and went to a few more services. I went to a “next steps” course to see what membership looked like and what the core values of the church was because the last service I went to was half decent and I had high hopes that the times I was there previously were just off days.
I was mistaken.
I was told the class was at 9:30 am. So I got there at 9:30 am. I asked for directions and someone led me to the classroom. It was completely full. I took a chair and the woman leading the class had already started. She asked me my name and didn’t even make eye contact with me. She threw a booklet down and didn’t even tell me what page to look at. She just walked back up front and kept talking. Very cold and VERY RUDE. She was talking about missionary work and I got the most negative impression of her and the other people there. The dynamic was cold, uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and very tense. I flipped to a page in the book about more core tenets of the church. From what I saw I was deeply saddened. Christ is an example of endless love and compassion. Something that these people preach but absolutely do not practice. I will never attend again and frankly I have lost my faith because of these people. Money and hate is king here. Not Christ. Very sad.

Today I was there and some of the volunteers, they are bad they gave me backpacks for kider children and I told him my daughters are in high school and not even so I change the backpacks .. my daughters are sad not only because of the school backpacks, also because of the discrimination because all the white families gave them big and beautiful backpacks ... they should feel ashamed for acting badly with people of color

Not good staffs and do not care about our feeling. Wasted my 3 hours in line for backpacks that look like they were bought from dollar tree. Staff doesn’t care. My daughters are crying.

Friendly church with caring pastors. This church has long-time roots in the community. Their food bank ministry has been going for 50 years and for the past ten years their worship and creative arts pastor has led the Winchester Community Choir each Christmas season, a multi-church effort that raises funds for a local community service organization. Their motto is "A Place to Call Home" and I have found it to be just that.
