My wife and I went to check this location out due to being gifted the pub pass book recently. This normally would not be a place I would go to as it’s not my “scene” but the bar manager, Matt (if I recall correctly), was very nice and fun to chat with about Beer and Whiskey. This place has a decent tap list for a club/bar setting rather than a brewery and a whiskey selection that is good all the way across. The atmosphere seemed fun but we were there around opening so other than a few soccer fans, the place was empty. Beyond that a solid spot overall.

Came here for a team dinner with my coworkers. Cool spot in the middle of a bunch of nightlife. The appetizers were the star of the show. The wings were bomb, we got half buffalo and half sweet chili and got a second order because they were so good. The tuna poke was delicious and the brussel sprouts and bacon were fire. I got tacos for dinner, one fish and one shrimp and it was very lackluster and left much to be desired. The tacos were a bit dry and did not have much flavor. They need to add a good salsa or crema to these tacos and it would level them up a bit. The chips and salsa it came with was pretty bland. My coworkers tried a few burgers that looked really good and the beef dish looked good. Drinks were nice and strong. I'd give it another chance.

Food was great. Atmosphere is visually pleasing but all that sad country music was bringing the place down. Gave it 2 stars because we were in from out of town; made reservations weeks in advance but once we arrived they could not accommodate us. But hey the food was really good. Best truffle fries ever.

Disappointing Service Overshadows Good Food at Social Tap.

I've always heard good things about Social Tap in Scottsdale, so my expectations were high for a friendly atmosphere paired with enjoyable eats. Unfortunately, my experience was clouded by the service, which failed to meet even the bare minimum of hospitality one would expect.

Upon taking a seat at the bar, we were expecting to be greeted with the a friendly hello, but instead, we were met with an unsettling air of indifference. The lady bartender's demeanor was curt, bordering on hostile, as she begrudgingly acknowledged us after a noticeable wait. Even when she snatched the menus from our hands—claiming they were incorrect—her approach lacked the basic courtesy I believe every patron deserves.

Our order—drinks and wings—also took an undue length of time to be taken, and once it was, we descended into invisibility. Despite our prominent position at the bar, directly in her line of sight, our empty glasses were consistently overlooked.

For seven minutes, my empty drink sat beside me, abandoned, until finally, a different bartender noticed and made it drinks.

While I can commend the food for its quality—definitely a redeeming aspect of Social Tap—it's hard to savor any food when you're feeling disregarded and underappreciated by the staff.

In conclusion, this was one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant. I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism so that no other people have to endure such an unwelcoming encounter.

First time in and really hanging out in Old Town Scottsdale and after a small get together at Wine Girl I met up with my good friend for some drinks and he was here and let me just say first one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had in a while. Second the bartender very polite and attentive to detail that made it exclusive and sexy this gave me a new look to The OTS. Next, the food what quality you can taste, I love their Chef. I got the Beef and Cheddar Burger cooked medium well and Whoa…! I am a natural bird eater and every bird bit I took was just delicious. It came with some omgoodness fries seasoned to someone sneezing cause y’all know if you ain’t sneezing it ain’t seasoned and I loved it, they were crispy with that beauty bounce center and I love me some good fries y’all. Michael had some steady IPÀs off the tap Dragoon IPA, their House IPA which he loved, and then a San Tan Juicy Jack which is one of his regulars, since you know it’s a MUST to be responsible. For food he enjoyed raved in fact about the deliciousness and freshness of the ahi Tuna, the oh so yumminess of the fried fish taco, and authenticity of the chips and salsa, and y’all what a chill place to be in. We didn’t feel all judged and out of place. They had a nice secure clean restroom with the nicest open space seating for me to view as I stroll through from the bar. They offer outside dining which looks really nice at night. I say come be blown away, we were !!

I will say the chicken tenders and fries were really good. However, I was with a group of six people in the service was not great. Several of my friends food came out lukewarm. we ordered drinks and they continued to take at least 15 to 20 minutes for every round. Great set up, but was disappointed in the experience overall.

1-star: Management refused to close the roll-up bar windows in the middle of summer, a muggy 85+ degrees inside and flies coming in. Wait staff looked distressed and hot, couldn't do anything about the heat inside.

4-stars: Go to spot for watching games with audio, decent wings and draft beer selection.

We went at 3pm on a Friday. The service and were terrible!

We ordered the chips, salsa and guacamole. The guacamole never arrived. When we asked again for it, the waitress left, then came back and said they were out of guacamole.

My hamburger, that had guacamole on it, was cold. The server said she would bring ketchup, but forgot and had to be reminded.

The burrito my husband had ALSO had guacamole on it.

I ordered the blackberry jalapeno margarita. It literally tasted like a juice box with no alcohol.

Our server never asked if we wanted more alcohol. In a bar? You're not trying to sell alcohol? And she never once smiled.

We were often left with empty glasses and plates on our table while dining.

The inside only had two tables, us and a 10 top. The bar had 2 people sitting at it. The outside area had about 30 people. It was not busy.

My husband and I are excellent tippers. We appreciate good service and will tip 25% or more. But our server was just so terrible I could barely bring myself to tip 15%.

I get it. Everyone else in the place was under 35. We are in our 50s. Maybe next time she'll understand that mature people have the funds to tip generously.

If you are the owner or manager reading this, please understand. Your business missed out on a hefty alcohol tab because your server wasn't interested in selling drinks, or increasing sales. She was simply taking orders and couldn't even get them right.
