My dog was in quarantine over a long weekend. When we got her back, she was clearly ill and started limping after a week. We asked the shelter vet to examine her, and they told us we could buy medicine from them but they wouldn't take any responsibility for her illnesses.

We put down our 20 year old dog and they were so nice and helpful. They knew my mom was sad to put her dog down so they made it as quick and painless for her as possible. And great pricing!

Animal care staff don’t know what they are doing. A Dove was found (a domesticated clearly not wild bird) and someone called asking for advice. This place advised to release her!? To see if she finds her way back home? It’s not a wild bird? And clearly she needed to be rescued. Now she might starve or get hit by a car thanks to this place. Nice job

My wife and I adopted our 2 babies Sadie and Bella from this AMAZING shelter! The animals are always cared for and the staff are great, Riley was one of the staff that was especially amazing when we were adopting. She truly cares about the animals

I really appreciate S.C.A.C for the research to connect me and my fur baby, Misty-Ivy. She's so loving towards everyone. She was already potty trained, walked well, and listened without much instructions. It's been almost a year now. She goes everywhere with me. Thanks to her doggie carriage. People always thank me for rescuing her, but the truth is Misty-Ivy rescued me! Im a happy mommy over here.

Solano County Animal Care, in my experience, went far above and beyond every other(7) shelter that we visited today in search of a cat to adopt! They did an instant check on me, instead of requiring several days to go over our paperwork. They seemed happy to serve us and allowed us immediate access (within proper covid restrictions) in order to meet their animals. We ultimately found a cat who was healthy and well cared for that we fell in love with, and were allowed to take her home this evening. I don't think I could speak highly enough of the level of care and service received today! Well worth the drive from the Roseville area!

Great staff made it easy and convenient to adopt the new family member. Unfortunately, there are a lot of pets to choose from. But if you’re looking to adopt a new cat or dog, stop by and see if there’s one that fits your expectations.

I have adopted 2 animals in the past prior to the kitten i adopted days before Thanksgiving this year. He should not have been cleared for adoption. Not only did he test positive for ringworm, but he continued to have diarrhea and signs of an upper respiratory infection well after adopting. I went back once they opened and while they did provide me with medication they also told me this would be my last visit with them regarding his care and i needed to see an outside vet. I thought that was distasteful considering they sold me the sick cat for 150 dollars and he had been in their care for months. Im angry that I was sold a sick cat that also has ringworm and has proceeded to get my other cats sick and give them ringworm most likely now. Honestly deplorable and disgusting behavior, they just want to get rid of the animals not truly care for the root of their issues. I understand there are so many animals and there is only so much you can do but he definitely should have NOT been put up for adoption. His ears are clearly hairless from ringworm and I cant believe the vets either ignored this or just didn’t care.
