This is my favorite event and place in AZ. I always go as many times as possible. Many of the shops and performers make their living through this, and I love to support them any way I can.
It can be pricey for both tickets and crafted items for this reason, so keep in mind it's difficult to spend under 100$ here, but it's not impossible. You'll just be window shopping a lot! Food is always cash only, so always keep some handy to avoid ATM fees. It's a fun and enjoyable experience, especially when you have a shaded place to sit. Definitely bring anything and everything you have to block out the sunshine to keep cool. Heat illness/ exhaustion is no joke!
There are plenty of events that are kid friendly, like the petting zoo and comedy shows and many for adults only, such as the pub crawl. Keep in mind that some of the things are extra for your ticket, they have a website with all the info for those! Otherwise, it's just small things like rides or walthroughs that are around 5$ each per person.

All in all, if you have never been, it is so worthwhile to go at least once! Hope to see you at the next event!

Wonderful place to try a new Renaissance Festival. I know it the desert but needed more shady spots to sit. The Joust was fantastic. Musical act fanominal, Zilch the Tory Steller is always my favorite!
Also; parking was amazing! I've been to many festivals and I think this is the most organized and efficient parking crew I've ever seen. 😍

It was fun, traffic management was pretty good considering the volume.
Food(turkey leg was decent, needed some seasoning or smoked.

Beer price was fair
Everything cash only..... Uncle sam is watching!
Except few sellers unrelated to the fair.

Most people dressed up, cool to see!
Shows were pretty good from 3-4 we went to.

Spent hour and half to get there, spent about 3hrs there and hour half to go home, full day activity for sure.

Always fun. I go about every other year. Some of the skits this year weren't the usual outstanding I'm used to, but still fun. Price of turkey legs was $16 each- ouch!

Tons of stuff to buy, plenty of food, many free shows to attend, decent amount of seating to eat. You can find shows, rides, food, and trinkets for all ages.

Just be sure to bring cash or get cash at the ATM's available. Very few vendors accept cards.

My friends and I love going here. The food And drinks are very affordable. The turkey legs are absolutely amazing. There are tons of free shows to watch which are very entertaining. It's a good time for adults and for kids. It's just one of those things that's going to be as fun as you allow it to be.
The ax throwing and nonja star is fun, there's lots of little rides for kids, escape rooms, entertainers, animals & so much more

What a fabulous place to visit! This venue is massive with permanent structures, it's like old world meets with new world without losing the great Ren fair atmosphere. Dress up in your best Ren fair apparel or peruse the many clothing shops and buy a new outfit or pieces to go with what you have. The entertainment is great and ongoing all day. Food is wonderful, so many choices. Beer , wine, cocktails, frozen lemonade too. Try your hand with a bow and arrow or toss veggies at a very tolerant man whom I hope gets good tips...be prepared and bring your payience for long waits to leave if you stay till close as we did. I highly recommend going it was great fun

What a day!! The festival is an amazing array of shows, shopping, food and people watching! The costumes folks wear are elaborate, crazy, strange and fun! Every worker we encountered was genuinely friendly and fun, many laughing and joking with every customer. The variety of shows is endless, most all of them having a wench or two, lots of humor and very talented performers. The shopping is a bit pricey so didn't do much of that but we enjoyed everything else! The jousting tournament is the pinnacle of the day and makes the entry price 100 percent worth it!

Been coming here since it started in the late 80s. We fly back once in a while just for the memories.

IT IS HUGE!!!! Got there 30 minutes early. Spent most of the day walking around. Great shows and games. Fun for the whole family. We always want to get the feast, but never manage to land the tickets. We spent a fortune. We walked until our feet hurt. We ate a bunch a food that we give two MEHs. Not great, but it kept us going.

I don’t know how you take something this great and make it less crowded. Worth the money and the crowds and the expense.
