We had a disappointing experience, which felt like a complete waste of time and money. My 6-year-old autistic son, who attends general education with the support of an aide, participated in the IPSF program at Loma Ridge School for the first time. When I enrolled him, it was not mentioned that they would not provide an aide, so I had to arrange one myself. As expected, my son exhibited some challenging behaviors during class due to the significant change from his usual routine.

I understand the importance of ensuring the safety of all students, whether they are typical or atypical, and I respect that. However, after receiving several calls to pick him up, I was eventually sent a student citation letter to sign. Additionally, the teacher, Mrs. Price, was not supportive at all and seemed inexperienced in dealing with special needs children. It felt as if she had never encountered such situations before. As a teacher, it's essential to be prepared to support all kinds of students and not treat those with special needs as outsiders when they exhibit challenging behaviors. These children need care and love, not exclusion from the classroom.

One aspect I found particularly puzzling was that my son’s current school has managed his behavior effectively for the past two years. So why did it become such a significant issue during the IPSF classes, especially when the teachers were supposed to be experienced in working with special needs children? Furthermore, there was no prior mention of needing special arrangements for children with IEPs before booking the program. It felt like they were more interested in taking our money without providing adequate support.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I wish I could give them zero stars.
