Arrived from Wharton, Tx on Friday 12/27/24 at 3:30 pm to pay my property taxes. Lady at front desk informed me that the tax office closed at 3:00 pm that day; I informed her the website indicated closing time was 4:30 pm and I just traveled 3 hours to get there and now the office is closed, an hour early to boot, really When I inquired about the office being open next week, she couldn't guarantee the time when and if open. This is an issue for any decent citizen trying to make a deadline, and in my case, my husband has suffered a severe traumatic brain injury this year, and I left his side to take care of these taxes and I will have to do so again because of the slacking in this office.

Property taxes are unconstitutional under the 16th amendment. To charge property taxes is unlawful. A must watch video on YouTube. Home appraisers caught lying to hike property taxes ( Mitch Vexler's Criminal Complaint). Watch and Learn.

Will not answer phone. Will not return calls. Experience I've had at office people seem to be untrained and try to just rush you out the door.

A very long line to pay taxes and only 2 employees are working and they are to pay car tax and properi taxes. I strongly disagree because they raised our taxes to pay the building but they have no employees.

Impossible to reach. When someone does answer, they ask you to hold and then hang up on you.

I came in right before they closed so I could get plates for my car and the clerk was not put off by my tardiness. She was very polite and expedient with her task. I appreciate her politeness and give kudos to them all for it not feeling like I was in a government office.

Visited the tax office on 4:15pm on a Friday afternoon. The lady that waited on me, was the nicest & most friendliest, I’ve ever experienced in a registration transaction. I believe her name was Ms. Delarosa… I apologize for not paying more attention. Breaks the mold of the old reputation of county/state & government employees. Super impressed. Thank you.
